Replying To PressureKick:  "Breffini could be perceived as being a bit unfair, being so close to Armagh and them playing there a few weeks ago. The Hyde in Roscommon would be similar. Slightly fairer if anything, but can't see that being chosen either"
Tullamore would be great, though easier for ourselves a but I'd say,

I know people are looking forward to, and planning family gatherings this weekend.

With the weather we're having, please advise young people on water health and safety - because sometimes, they don't see the potential dangers. God bless..

Makes no sense to be having any games in Croke Park until at least the Quarter final stage.

Jack Glynn really struggling on Luke Loughlin here, Hernon and McGrath very good and Cooke has been trying to drive it on from the middle. Westmeath a lot more direct and causing us problems

Galway getting bullied by westmeath. The lack of athleticism and physicality in the team picked really showing. Ian burke and tomo have been awful so far the need to bring on Maher

Maher and Comer were the difference off the bench. Cooke kicked some nice points but there isn't much else to be said. The shape of the forward unit doesn't look right.

Thats been the case for a while now the forward play is disjointed. Dire match on now Tyr vs Arm its a poor championship. Kildare and Cork both poor teams, Kerry average too but Dubs at least trying to make it attractive to watch. If Mayo dont win this year they never will but its easy to see them fill the togs in a final against say Derry or Dublin. Im not convinced about Galway this year but its 2/2 we are as good as about 6 other teams.

Comer made more runs in 10 minutes than the rest of the forwards combined in an hour.
Looked like a bunch of guys that thought they just had to show up for the win. McGrath was brilliant, Hernon was playing well when Galway weren't, Cooke tried hard and Maher and Comer had a huge impact.
Gleeson was way too slow off the tee, Glynn was miles off Loughlin, Conroy and Tierney were being overran at midfield, Walsh wasn't in the game, either was Culhane and Ian Burke probably had his worst game in a Galway jersey. Delighted to get out of their with a win

Would have to agree, with you, Zero energy in the first half, where Daly and Kelly kept us in it. Westmeath lost both midfielders, 1 to injury and the other to a card, before Galway really got a grip. Comer coming on like flicking a switch. So of the fine scores Westmeath kicked made them look the Div 1 Team. Tuam Stadium is far ahead of Mullingar as a ground . Hernon had a massive second half .

The bad points as listed by others here are valid 100%.
And yet playing poorly until the last 15 mins we won by 8 points and had 4 or 5 clear goal chances spurned.

Wasn't pretty at times but a win is a win for Galway. Westmeath a game outfit but don't have the fitness, conditioning or strength in depth to keep things competitive for 70 minutes against Div 1 opposition and getting a man sent off ended whatever chance they had.

Armagh next to top the group who won't have Rian O'Neill after his red card today.

Big blow for them but hardy performance with 14 men. If they manage to beat Galway they could still potentially top group and leave three teams on 4 (assuming Tyrone have too much for Westmeath). The Armagh Galway game is massive now for whoever wants to get direct into a quarter final.

Back from match like most matches this year Galway lost majority of opponents kickouts when Galway forced them long they had lots more luck Gleason way 2 slow getting ball down to kicitout ,last 2 matches when galway they give up possession straight away and put zero pressure at all , I have always being a great admirer of Shane Walsh but I'm afraid he definitely in decline I'd be surprised if he starts v Armagh ,,

Feels strange to feel frustrated after an 8 point win but the first half really was so disappointing. Didn't show Westmeath enough respect and were second best in every aspect in the first half and deserved to go in behind. Gleeson HAS to get sharper off the tee. McGrath was excellent again, some reader of the game he was born out in front. Cooke was driving it for most the game and kicked some fine scores. Kelly and Daly steady and Hernon impressive. Bit worried about how many times Westmeath found themselves in loads of space in attacking areas in the first half however.

On Shane Walsh, what's the story? He was doing us actual harm today as balls dropped short we're leading to scores at the other end. Decision making is very suspect at times almost headless and needs to be addressed as it could cost in a big game again. I'm one of the biggest admirer of Shane and am happy to take the good with the bad with him as he's so gifted and so important to us but I do think we need to start to see him focus a little more and up it a bit. He's too good a player for games to be passing him by.
