In my previous reply to your jaundiced view, I was pointing out that over the last 4 years, Kilkenny's record in the AI championships is second to none, bar Limerick."
I was very clearly responding to someone else's post. Cool it!

My point is that 3 out of those 4 years those 4 years they didn't win a game outside of leinster. The point I made is nothing to do with putting Kk done because god knows that Tipp have been a lot worse. The point that the other poster made was that Kk can beat anyone on their day and I suggest that the stats no longer back that up.

So not second to none then.... second to Limerick!

Of course. Though I doubt any KK lads are talking about double marking some of your lads and effectively leaving other lads free or no players of their own up front.

Look up the meaning of the word 'bar'.

The guy who mentioned double marking, clearly hasn't a clue! What a load of rubbish....double marking someone.
Obviously he has no faith in his own team to do the job!
Galway will win the Leinster Final and there will be no double marking.

Morrissey on Cody and Fintan on TJ could be the way to go. Although Fintan might find himself at full back given the word is that Daithi has picked up an injury. Regardless, Galway are still good enough to win this by a couple of points. If Kilkenny hadn't got the goal and couple of points in the last few minutes in Salthill then it would have been a comfortable 5-6 point win and that was with Conor Whelan only playing a quarter of the game.

Kilkenny have a knack for getting goals so there's never a comfort level against them. I agree Galway probably have more weapons but Kilkenny will keep it close no matter what. Galway Abu.

Hope you win. You have the size to counter their A game of long ball up the pitch. You will need someone with a bit of pace to mark Eoin Cody. Up front you have plenty of lads who are good at taking points but having watched 3 of your games this year, including being at the game in Wexford, you don't seem to create as many goal chances as they do. And it's not because you don't have the players to score goals. More so you don't let lads let the ball inside quicker or run inside with the ball to open up space for other lads to score goals. The 2 best chances you created against us, the goal and cooneys chance, came from running in from deep.

No doubt Cody is a pure stud and good luck to whoever gets the job of containing him. If they can limit him somewhat from getting the ball and kind of starve him a bit they might be ok. Again, good luck to whoever gets that job! lol. Galway themselves need to just capitalize on their chances. 15 or 20 wides won't do. Galway Abu.

Can't understand why you would want Galway to win when kk are our neighbours and in some cases workmates even nothing against Galway but when ever we are bet I support our neighbours and would hope they would support us when they are gone.

I'd always support any county when they are playing against 1 of the big 3. If Kilkenny were playing Cork or Tipp I might secretly shout for them. But definitely wouldn't tell any of my friends up there that!!!!

I'm not so sure about that. Neighbouring counties are often bitter rivals. The same applies to club football. It would be common for a club supporter to want their neighbouring club to lose.

I'm assuming this is a wind up? If England were playing Brazil in a WC would you support England?

Next time England are playing soccer take a drive around Wexford and the house with the England flag outside will be tiger. You are entitled to shout for whoever you want but a Galway man shouting for Mayo or Tipperary would have to move house.

Are we going to win Saturday? we can be a little unpredictable (2020 final is still in my memory, when we were the better team going into the game) The closer we get to it the head says we could roll over for them, we are the better team on paper, however Kilkenny will always be Kilkenny and can grind results out when not expected. However, the heart says we will win (and possibly hit about 30points!)

Doubt you will hit 30 points against Kilkenny. They won't give you that space. Although they did concede 29 points against Cork in the AISF last year. Dont think anyone has ever scored 30 points against them tbh. Since 2019 you have scored 20, 24 and 24 points against them in your 3 games played. Think you will need a goal or 2. Which hopefully you will get!
