Same time Galway reached 1 final, 1 semifinal, losing both and once, 2019, didn't get out of the round robin and once, 2021, played 2 lost 2? It's a stupid pointless debate this.

I'm stating the obvious, nothing to do with respect. You're the most disrespectful poster on HS. You called Pádraic Mannion Paddy Mannion. How disrespectful is that?

They only got 1 because they lost their 1st 1? If they had gone on to win they would've got 3 games. Last year we lost our 1st game and only got 1 game. Think the intercounty window is too tight to fit in an u20 round robin.

Why continue it? Only replying to a stupid post. When the ball is thrown in, in croke park whoever has achieved whatever will mean nothing.

In all fairness Viking after the '98 business with the powder, how could you them love then, at all at all.

But facts are, KK have appeared in 1 QF, 2 SF and 1 final over the last 4 years."
You're reinforcing my point. The narrative they can beat anyone no longer applies.
If you're suggesting they can then you're contradicting what you said in another thread when you said "what hype".
Maybe make your mind up...

Replying To tiobraid:  "Since their last all Ireland in 2015 I think Kilkennys championship has been ended by Munster teams every year. In most of those games they've been well beaten. Limerick, Waterford, Tipp and cork have all knocked them out. Last years semi final was exciting versus Cork but I commented after that the standard was poor and Cork would get destroyed in the final. I wouldn't give them a hope against this Limerick team and you wouldn't find too many Kk lads that would make the limerick team either. 2019 was their best year but as we seen with Tipp that's now a long time ago. They beat an inconsistent Limerick team by a point in that semi. Kk people themselves admit and know that that narrative isn't true these days."
I meant on a given day they are still dangerous. I'd never count them out. But I agree with your general point.

Now that the shadow boxing of the Leinster round robin is over its time to see what Galway and Kilkenny are really made off. Galway were good in Pearse Stadium but Kilkenny were dreadful at stages in the first half, they coughed up some terrible scores. The main event is coming soon.

Kilkenny were very much a one man team in the Stadium, surly 1 option for Henry should be to stick 2 lads on him for the first 15 min anyway an see how it goes. id be putting Daithi & morrisey on him and drop cathal mannion a bit then to cover (not as a sweeper though). stop eoin cody and stop Kilkenny. Big risk with that is concentrating too much on cody, and TJ might have a stormer then. Morrisey kept him fairly quiet the last time. it will be much more of a tactical battle then playing any of the munster teams anyway.

But no county bar Limerick has a better record.

More sophistry and nonsense. There is no narrative that "they can beat anyone", they are your words, and yours alone, and I certainly never suggested it.
In my previous reply to your jaundiced view, I was pointing out that over the last 4 years, Kilkenny's record in the AI championships is second to none, bar Limerick.

Better off follow our template. 1 man on Cody and 1 man on TJ. And have a spare midfielder just in front of the halfback line to double up when needed and get any breaking ball. If you put 2 men each on TJ and Cody the 2 Walshes, Keoghan, Ryan, Donnelly, Kenny or maybe Murphy or Adrian Mullen, or whoever else Brian Cody picks in the front 6, are all well able to score points for fun if under no pressure. You will need lads with pace to mark Cody and Keoghan .

Maybe they will need to mark a few of our lads
