I heard on Galway Bay FM that Kilbeacanty drop to Junior no matter what. Is this true? What's the point of their next match v Kinvara if this is true?

Oh absolutely and that was not a pop at Maigh cuillinn I juut dont see them getting within 10 points of a wounded Loughrea but at the start of the year they would have absolutely taking a premim QF and safety. Cappy Ardrahan Gort & Kilconieron would snap your hand off to be in Moycullens shoes.

Absolutely no point whatsoever and complete waste of 2 weekends. Top two from every group into Quarter Finals and goodbye to 3rd place.
Junior next year is Kilbeacanty, Annaghdown, Sylane, Abbeyknockmoy, Craughwell, Turloughmore, Athenry, Clarinbridge, Cappataggle, Loughrea, Liam Mellows, sarsfields, Oranmore-Maree, St Thomas',Kiltormer and Ballinasloe.

There would be some craic IF Kilbeacanty WON the Intermediate Championship after finishing 3rd in their group and getting relegated to Junior...how would Mr Hurling Board.com solve that one!!
Luckily for hurling board there is no chance of Kilbeacanty winning PQF, QF,SF and Final.

That's a quirk of the restructuring to be fair. Where they finished ahead of Turlough's B team who can't go to Junior because they'll be in a seperate competition for B teams from next year on. So Kilbeacanty are being relegated by virtue of finishing behind Rahoon and Beagh who are going to stayin in Intermediate for next year. But on the existing rules where 3 get out of the group, they finished 3rd this year and thus are still int he championship.

The bigger question of should 3 teams get out of the group in the first place has been done to death so no need for explaination there!

I did not see your post as a pop at anybody but thinking that a prelim. QF would satisfy them, I fear not as I said they are noted for refusing to trow in the towel.I could also have a mistaken view of them but my only insight is the view from the sideline.
