Replying To OhIWouldYa:  "I am surprised at the low level of posts on the Galway forum over the last few weeks considering the hurlers are out this weekend. I know Santa was doing the rounds and the darts have been on but wondering is there a lack of interest in the upcoming season? Let's hope the weather holds and there is good support for the Galway hurlers on Sunday vs Laois.

Are Galway also playing a challenge on Saturday vs Offaly? Anyone with details of time and location for this game?"
Don't think there will be much interest at this time of year. The league doesn't really get anyone excited. It's just a waiting game until championship really. Just need to look coherent, try a few new lads and I wouldn't worry about results.

The Fitzgibbon should be informative as University Galway should be going close to winning it with this squad - it's pretty much a three team competition to win against UL and UCC.

Nah, back to the Donoghue regime of all info being hidden from the public.

Good run out for our lads down in Clare today. We won by 6 points, 1-30 to 1-24. Both teams were experimental enough. Clare did bring in Reidy, Malone and Ryan Taylor in the second half. They had started with Shanagher and Shane Meehan up top so our backs got a decent enough test. Colm Molloy excellent up front for us. Donal O'Shea very good at midfield and I thought Whelan and Salmon in the backs were strong. Our subs in the second half were all young lads.

Starting team was:
Darach Fahy

Oisin Salmon
Daniel Loftus
Josh Ryan

Cillian Whelan
Michael Garvey
TJ Brennan

Ronan Glennon
Donal O'Shea

Gavin Lee
Evan Niland
John Cooney

Colm Molloy
Greg Thomas
Declan McLoughlin

Couldn't make out all the subs that came on as there was no team sheet but Eanna Murphy, Michael Walsh, Liam Collins, Diarmuid Hanniffy, Oisin Lohan all came on. Lohan came on in first half as Glennon picked up a niggle. Lohan picked off some nice scores.

Galway beat Clare in the Challenge Match. I don't know who lined out for Galway or who did the scoring. 1-30 to 1-24 Final score.

Best of luck to TAD tomorrow, underdogs in eyes of bookies, might suit, Galway teams never good favourites.

Interesting lineup. Quite a few of them names I don't recognize. Hon Galway!

Not many of these will be near a Galway 15.

Hard luck to TAD in the Intermediate Final. Led by one point at end of regulation but Cork outscored them 5-1 in extra time. Heartbreaker.
