How's the injury situation looking lads? hunting (Wexford) - Posts: 1029 - 15/06/2022 20:20:07 2425248 Link 0 |
I knew it was a common trait in our game, but I looked back at the scoring stats across our six games so far, and our backs have collectively scored twenty points from play. That is insane, and could be the difference if the game is tight, considering Clare wouldn't have the same output from back there. In fact, the only side to have had such a scoring ratio from their defence is Limerick, who hit 6 from play from that sector vs. Cork alone. beano (Wexford) - Posts: 1460 - 15/06/2022 21:00:30 2425253 Link 0 |
Good to see the 2 Clare lads got off. I don't think retrospective punishment should happen unless the victim is injured or in cases of simulation fooling the on field ref. At least now if we beat them they can't complain that everyone is out to get them. The 2 lads, and Fahy, got off with stonewall red cards on a technicality. Maybe they will stop whinging about Derek Kent now also. Viking66 (Wexford) - Posts: 14233 - 16/06/2022 07:21:12 2425261 Link 0 |
105 is between the 45 and 65 at the Killinan end. Great seats!

So the 2 clare lads got off on a technicality. Samson55 (Wexford) - Posts: 103 - 16/06/2022 09:19:47 2425272 Link 0 |
The Central Hearings Committee overturned it on a procedural technicality raised by Galway. Central Hearings Committee Chair: Brian Rennick, Dunderry GAA Club (Meath), Aoife Farrelly, Trim GAA Club (Meath), Micheál Óg McMahon, An Bhoth (Monaghan), Denis Holmes, Oola GAA Club (Limerick), Tod O' Mahony, Kiltimagh GAA (Mayo), Gerry Hagan, Killoe Young Emmets (Longford), Seán Dunnion, Four Masters (Donegal), Gerry Larkin, Tynagh/Abbey-Duniry (Galway), Michael Wadding, Roanmore GAA (Waterford). Rennick made a mark in the GAA's disciplinary affairs with a devastating minority opinion in the authority's clearing of Dublin's Diarmuid Connolly before the 2015 All-Ireland semi-final replay against Mayo. It will be interesting to see if Henry will play Fahy after the stamp on Richie Ried which has no place in the game, whatever about the two Clare incidents, at least the Clare lads were trying to break free from their markers. You don't break free from a marker by flacking the back off a lad, or giving him a but of the hurl in the face. But it was as clear as day they wouldn't be suspended. Once TSG highlighted these, the poor old "not that kind of player" or "we're being victimised" brigade came out in force. But, Wexford are as well off. Clare can have no excuses now if Wexford turn them over. Clare love a "poor old us" mentality as any who remembers the 90's can attest. As a Wexford lad living in Clare, I love their fanatical supporters but im very surprised to hear lots in Clare are so confident / arrogant that they're not going to the match on Saturday instead are waiting for the Semi final with some even waiting for the final against Limerick ha! twbm (Clare) - Posts: 23 - 16/06/2022 11:27:41 2425322 Link 2 |
