Replying To foreveryoung:  "Fine win for Cork in the U-20. Galway looked like minors in comparison, but am sure they'll come again in this age group. The red tide is rising, and as a man who wants to see Limerick win it, I have an ill-foreboding.

Jackie Tyrell, Tony Kelly and a couple of more pundits are suddenly tipping Cork. It'll go right down to the last puck of the ball."
Neither of them have tipped Cork. Stop talking rubbish and read the articles.

Well In fairness Tyrell and Kelly were reported as having said that. Apart from all that I genuinely think this could go either way even I feel we will just about do it. IN '66, '90 V Tipp and '99, among other years, cork have thrived when underdogs.

For sure the Cork tide is rising but both my hearth and head says Limerick. I don't believe that if they lose it will because they did not perform. It will be because Cork are even better than we thought. Some like to sow the seeds of nonsense when it is Limerick, Clare, Waterford or Wexford that the occasion gets to us. 99% of the time the best team and team performance wins. No stage fright with this Limerick team.

Stopped paying heed to Mr Jackie T some time ago. He is ready to join The Kerry footballer and former Wexford manager (whose name I thankfully can't recall) , on the runway, sporting the latest fashion and no socks.

Marty M, Nicky Duignan and "Oh Dear, Ger " are others talk a lot and say nothing as they continually jump the fence, as they try to remain relevant.

Great game coming Up on Sunday. Hope Cork show Up.

Cyril Farrell is the latest, today in the Independent, to tip Cork to win. It's written down in black and white, just as Tyrrell's and Kelly's articles were. I don't know what part of any of them that you don't understand.

I would love to see Cork win on Sunday, but I think Limerick will take it, by a few points.

Jackie tyrell headline in the Times this morning,

Jackie Tyrrell: Cork must stifle Cian Lynch but Limerick should have too much.
Were in that sentence does it say he predicts cork to win.

The poor lad can only read headlines!
There's no hurling pundit going to come out and say limerick will wipe the floor with cork and in fact all are saying they have a chance, which is a fair bit different than the poster here stating that they're predicting Cork to win!
Usually wouldn't bother pulling someone up but getting sick of people spouting lies on here.

100% agree Canuck Limerick have given their best performance in 2018 and 2020 in the AI finals-it's the semi-finals where we struggle except for this year. Similar to 2020 Limerick had a close encounter in Munster with Waterford but they upped their performance for the rematch in Croker. Limerick have had a good look at Cork 2 months ago and despite hitting 20 points ( which many commentators have conveniently forgotten) we still won by 8. Of course Cork can win but they will have to play to a level they haven't played to before and that still mighten be good enough.

Derek McGrath is the latest to think Cork will do it; "Cork have enough answers for Limerick's smiling assassins." Nobody anywhere has mentioned 'wiping the floor' with the opposition either way. That is just what you said. However, that's four leading hurling people who are leaning towards Cork, i.e. they think Cork will win it.

A lot of this is a bit silly. Of course every team that goes out has a chance. The opposition might lay down or have five players sent off or just simply a terrible bad day. Personally I take little notice of what pundits say. They are wrong as often as I am. Derek's prediction rate success percentage is not great as is the others.

My 2 cents for what it's worth.

-Think Limerick will win by 5
- Fancy Cork to win next year at worst 2023
- Cork/Limerick could develop into the defining rivalry of the decade like Kilkenny/Tipp and Dublin/ Mayo was in both codes in the last decade.

It appears Cork are now favourites in many informed peoples opinions, sure its a 50/50 game and either team could win it.Am hoping for a Limerick win, they are a terrific team and if Cork win they will deserve it.I just got a ticket and am so looking fwd to it.C'mon Limerick.

Cork show up… good lord ye have 2 all Irelands won in the best part of 50 years yet to listen to some Limerick fans you would swear they were the Kilkenny team of 2006 to 2014, maybe they may become them in time ( but I doubt it) …..Limerick justifiable favourites for Sunday and a great team but by God some of their supporters would fairly sicken you with their arrogance

Make a bold prediction Cork will win more all Ireland's in the next 10 years than Limerick will, enjoy it while you can as the wheel always turns ……

Who cares about pundits. They're only there to make noise between ad breaks.
And Derek has lost a bit of credibility with his referral to a so called 'tap' by Gleeson on big Joe in their championship game

Ha you'll be doing well to find 1 in 10 hurling people who believe that. I won't lie and say I'd be happy for Horgan if he won one but I was very disappointed with Cork the last day. If they play like that against limerick the game will be dead by 40 mins.
