Entertaining match in Clones. Galway a tad lucky to be 3 points up at half time. Obviously I will take that though. Some great points by McCarron and McManus for Monaghan. Galway have scored two goals, and will need to take their points if they are to hang on. And mark McCarron a bit better. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2519 - 13/06/2021 16:32:50 2350257 Link 0 |
Won't win with 14 on the pitch, is that a new keeper, looks good enough

Not good finish by Gallimh. Have they blown it. I hope not. An awful lot of messing going on by the team. Monaghan played well. Never 5 minutes of extra time though. Almost like officials want a draw. Can Galway do it. A big big ask, my heart says yes, my head says they had their chance, ie 5 points up with 15 minutes to go. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2519 - 13/06/2021 17:38:03 2350304 Link 1 |
What an entertaining battle, McManus a great warrior, hard to call this now, think Monaghan have the momentum though. Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 2747 - 13/06/2021 17:42:03 2350310 Link 0 |

We got what we deserved. Some of the misses by Galway in that 2nd half. Walsh, O'Laoi, but that miss of an open goal by Heaney.....Jesus wept. Ailteoir (Galway) - Posts: 859 - 13/06/2021 18:18:03 2350338 Link 2 |
In spite of some the bizarre decisions - the farney come through! We may have had the home game but we had none of the advantage. Honnnn the farney !! greysoil (Monaghan) - Posts: 965 - 13/06/2021 18:19:25 2350342 Link 1 |
Lets be grateful that, even if in a a truncated form, the NFL was completed this year from the point of view of relegations and promotions. timmyhogan (UK) - Posts: 290 - 13/06/2021 18:25:09 2350345 Link 1 |

By Jes Belclare I thought you were dead, haven't seen you on here in a while, hard luck to Galway but I think Monaghan deserved it in the end, great game.

While I fully agree with you I am very happy with the team overall. After getting embarrassed by Kerry they were very competitive in every match against quality opposition. I believe this League campaign will stand to us in the Championship.

Galway were unlucky to have to go to Clones Monaghan to play. There was not 5 minutes of added time either. How much heartbreak can Galway and the West take. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2519 - 13/06/2021 18:43:34 2350370 Link 0 |

Shocking refereeing but Monaghan showed great grit. Some sickener for the tribesmen. They could've had it but threw it away. P.Mckenna (Louth) - Posts: 105 - 13/06/2021 18:48:00 2350376 Link 0 |
