Sad to hear about bomber Mahers injury...the dreaded achils. Terrible dose for any player.
A great Solider for Tipperary hurling, a real work horse with a tremendous battling attitude who never gives up!
Hope your recovery goes well and we get to see you in action again.

Huge loss for Tipp, a super top class player.

Tipp looked good today. Good displays from most of the tried and trusted. The younger lads looked up for it too. Sheedy has a lot more options now. Tipp should go for this League now as none of the players on view today have league medals

tipp looked good if they had their shooting boots on could have won by 8 to 10 points some very poor wides.

Decent enough game. Radars awry in both camps. Come championship, I'd say 90% of those misses will go over. Great class shown by Noel McGrath, and Conor Whelan. In very different ways, but nonetheless thoroughly enjoyable. I find it hard to watch the games without the crowd and the atmosphere that the crowd brings. But those snatches of class make it worthwhile.

I thought it was a poor game. Almost fell asleep a couple of times watching it. Galway closer to winning the game than I expected. I couldn't understand why we were warm favourites to win it...it made no sense at all. Tipp would have targeted this game especially since we were the only non-Munster team with All Ireland ambitions in their group. Perhaps might be an element of shadow boxing in some of the other games with the championship so near.

Atleast we played our match! The poor Clare lads are down some players because of the yellow bellies.

Hopefully it can be refixed for next weekend. There ll probably be more senior intercounty hurlers with it before the end of the season. None of them can live in a bubble.

Some of the wides were absolutely brutal, and the amount of them. Poor stuff.

The Wexford county board said: "Following receipt of these results at lunchtime today and further consultation with public health officials, it was agreed that there was a possibility of transmission with the squad and players will restrict movements until further testing next week"

This would mean no training for the players this week, which would be a big disadvantage if they play Kilkenny next weekend.

I think some of ye lads are expecting too much given that there's been such a long lay-off. Row back a bit on the hyperbole.

Not really. Players could isolate at home and travel individually to the pitch. It would mean no going within 2 metres of eachother. So no practice matches. But basic ball skills like shooting over both shoulders, stickpassing 20-30 yards, etc and fitness drills shouldn't be a problem. The main thing we need to practice is free taking which the lads could do by themselves!!!!
