Yee can do us a favour this weekend by beating Tipp and we will take care of Limerick. Only joking. We have improved since the Offaly but as you said we do have a shortage of scoring forwards. I do expect us to improve again on the Tipp game and it would not surprise me in the least if we go on to beat a much improved Limerick team. There won't be much Tipp v Offaly although I do expect Offaly to come out on top.

I dont think Wicklow will have enough to beat Limerick somehow..Offaly beating Tipp?..they could be Tipp have a few games behind them now and know they need to win..this is big game for Offaly and IF Offaly win it it is a huge win for us..

Offaly. Giving Offaly a hesitant vote v Tipperary. Tipperary are not supposed to be playing that well, but they can hit Offaly with a big performance. If Offaly are going to win, they need to take all their chances.
Big test for the home side.

Cavan v Derry Derry by a point
Fermanagh v Longford Fermanagh by 3 points
Offaly v Tipperary Draw
Wicklow v Limerick Wicklow by a point

Watched both Offaly games so far. I'm aware that there'll be a little bit of unavoidable bias in my perspective from what i've seen so far.
However, my opinion is that Offaly were considerably better than both Limerick & Wicklow on the day. Should have won both games by more. Wicklow game in particular. I think Offaly shuld have won that one by 7 or 8. I wont over-analyse, but on what I've seen so far i think Offaly can beat Tipperary. Will they? I am worried about the relative closeness of the score differences and the lack of killer instinct in Offaly, which might allow Tipp to come in and get a 4 or 5 point victory. This is a team that were in the AI semi-finals last year, they cant have regressed that badly, can they?
For what its worth, i think Wicklow can take Limerick too. Wont be a lot in it. Wicklow seemed to have an improved performance against Tipp (because i thought they were very limited against us) and if they continue to improve again, they are well capable of beating Limerick.

Good man OffalyBigBall, at least you also post the winning margin. Here's the voting from the American jury:

Cavan v Derry Cavan by 3 points
Fermanagh v Longford Fermanagh by 4 points
Offaly v Tipperary Offaly by 3 points
Wicklow v Limerick Limerick by a point

UK nulle points!

I see I put both Derry and Cavan to win. Derry won today.

Hmmm. The more you see these results the more the Munster and ulster championships last year look bewildering

Not bewildering at all. Tipp were very lucky to draw with Limerick in the championship in ordinary time last year and old barely pulled through in extra time. Limerick were missing Danny Neville last year, easily their best forward, he scored a brilliant goal against Tipp two weeks and another one to day against Wicklow and made the second one, a tap in by Hugh Bourke.

Needless to say as an Offaly man Ime delighted with Offals progress this league...They were very good today by times but Tipp didn come back into it with their first half subs....they seemed to tire or somehting in the second half and Offalys subs yet again this league played their part in driving Offaly ahead...Ime delighted for LImerick to advance..I like Limerick in both codes...sorry to see Tipp possibly slip back a bit from where they were last year...but look, this is only the league...Tipp will defend their Munster crown later in the summer no doubt and will give it a great lash...Cavan are a tad more disapointing...they were will behind today V Derry but came back to finish strong...Fermanagh are the surprise here for me...a stern game ahead for Offaly...Derry and LImerick in other semi final...Derry will be over all favourites...

I think he means it's bewildering how Tipp and Cavan are champions.. which i agree..

Ah not at all. With Cavan for example, Division 3 North was always the hardest of the 2 (ridiculous format to be fair). And with the North teams getting a 4 week head start on training and challenge matches, the matches were well tight and always harder on the Southern teams. Another day and Cavan would have got a result in the Fermanagh or Derry games. Fermanagh kinda fluked over the line to be honest. Mickey Graham also doesn't target the league. Not overly bothered to be honest, although it is disappointing to not he promoted.

It's true that Limerick could, maybe should have beaten Tipp last year. In fairness to Tipp, they are severely depleted so far this year with almost half of last year's team missing for various reasons. Michael Quinlivan, in particular, has been a huge loss, and leaves them overly dependent on Conor Sweeney for scores. The recent loss of Robbie Kiely is a further blow and they face a huge task in the championship.
