Couple of questions for you Michael, how much money does Kerry gaa have?

And how much of that money are you willing to give away?

And last but not least how will you replace that money?

It's easy to see you've been living in dublin for the last 30 years where ye are given every advantage financially and everything else because you haven't a clue what it's like for counties outside the pale.

I think posters here should contact their local TD's and raise the issue of GAA not being played.

Yes, catch him after mass or the bingo at the parish church below. Love this place, it's like a trip back in time, way back.

Poor Jesus is weeping and Emperer John horan is playing his fiddle while the GAA is burning and dublin still suckling at the breast of the organisation, yer like the grown up child that won't move out of their parents house and go it alone for fear ye might have to spend yer own money.

I don't know how much money Kerry have. I don't know how much Dublin or the gaa have? I would take a guess and say neither do you. I know well what it's like for other counties especially the counties with little or know money. Counties that have players living and working long distances from their counties and county board struggle to pay their legit expenses. Counties that can't afford lavish foreign holidays or the perks of free gym membership masseurs physios etc like Dublin and oh Kerry and Cork Limerick Tipp and a few other elite counties. I know because I know players that have played for those forgotten counties. Do you worry about them? I would nt think so.!

Lets organize a campaign online here to contact the relevant ministers. It should be done respectfully though.

To do what specifically and what Ministers do you want to contact?

Replying To PoolSturgeon:  "I reckon attendance at matches will be possible from June onwards. Heard a group of League of Ireland fans a few days ago being optimistic on this for their sport and I don't think its unrealistic though it might seems so at this point in time. A lot depends on the success of the vaccine roll out but I think that will happen though attendances will be limited to a percentage of capacity even if they are allowed by then."
I'd say we will still be in level 3 lockdown in June lad

You are making a big assumption there. That the ministers really have any say in the running of the country at the moment. Weakest bunch ever.

Excellent idea, but could we try and get them to do their job re vaccinating all the vulnerable first? Once thats done, we can have a chat about matches

As Miley used to say. Well holy God.
I see where someone here said about 7000 euro per week to run a County team.
That a figure I would only associate with the BIG SISMOK!!
Been from lovely Leitrim the county with by far the smallest population in the country with 31000 we have just raised in a fundraiser over 103000 euro.
Not bad for such a miniature population.
Going back to this 7000 euro a week expenditure on county teams. To me it extremely high.
Ah its not a level playing pitch.
Just curious what do counties received roughly from their main sponsor.

To speed up the vaccine roll out you mean, you have to hand it to Boris, he's miles ahead of the sleepy EU.

No Shannon View its definately not a level playing field..On sponser ship Dublin to my knowledge get about 1million per year from a, I. g.. Kerry I think get over 600.000 from Kerry group. Dublin have many other sponsers.Dublin are the mega rich. Kerry also do foreign fundraising often raising half a million at a time. Cork have sports direct now but did nt hear figures. Limerick don't have a sponser persais but JP Mac looks after them big time. There is a big difference between the top teams and the Leitrim I'm afraid.

There always has and always will be big difference between top teams and Leitrims etc

Do you expect Man City and Liverpool to have similar sponsorship income as Wolves, leeds ie sides in mid table and then sides around the bottom like west brom?
No of course not

€7000 is at the lower end of the scale. One County's inter-county manager let slip recently that their training costs 20k a week.
