He's right though and this is a problem right throughout GAA in general. I've seen it at underage too, the big fella never gets a free!! Murphy is pulled and dragged all the time but because he is a big lad ref's seem to think he's ok to deal with it. Bottom line is that a foul is a foul no matter what the players physical size is. Aidan O' Shea last weekend too had three or four men pulling out of him and no foul's were given.

The worst thing is this shouting into a guys face after a score or a miss or a free awarded etc.
All done to provoke a reaction.

In fairness I've seen refs clamp down on that since the restart - it didn't happen in that situation with Murphy but it did in the Cork - Kerry match and also the Mayo - Galway match. Ref changed the decision from a free to a throw-ball in both instances.

It is happening in underage games also but going unpunished.
As you say, refs need to clamp down on it.

Murphy got plenty of "protection" in last years ulster final. Could well have gotten the line for what he did to Ray Galligan

Agree, technically that sort of behaviour is a black card which would be a bigger call for the ref to make but I think it's good to see them starting to reverse decisions if players are acting the pup.

I popped along to an underage game recently and one team had 1 stand out player, and the abuse he got was shocking...
He tried his best against a better team and was forced to take on very difficult shots to try to get his team back in it.
He missed a few and the amount of shouting into his face from the winning team was disgusting.
And this was younger than minor age group...
The ref did absolutely nothing and the player got no protection from the sideline either...
Terrible to see and needs to be clamped down on...!

Whining about what?

He was only answering a question, which was put to him as a result if Declan Bonner's whining.

A wee bit of extra motivation for the boys, good man Mickey.

He wasn't answering a question when he was trying to say that so called big teams get all the important decisions. I would call that whining.

But Bonner was the one who whined first and who whined loudest. Mickey was just giving his opinion on what Bonner said. It's really not hard to grasp!

Lads seem to be getting their knickers in a twist and it's only Tuesday. It's a pity Tom Smith hasn't cast a line out yet because the donegal lads would be biting.

Donegal v cavan can be interesting , if cavan play direct long ball in they can cause trouble as donegal are not great under them sort of balls but donegal can prevent that by dropping men back, I think this game will be close but donegal to be too strong in the second half , cavan finish strong but the damage will be done

Cavan must be one of the so called big teams then so, mighty big call for that penalty against Down when it could have easily been a free out. Important call?

Tom usually goes fishing on the Donegal forum itself lol. Give him time, its only Tuesday. He once had the audacity to tell us that Big Tom was a better singer than Daniel, now that is a hanging offence in Donegal lol.

Downs goal came from a wrong call ! No mention of that?

There is a fair difference between getting a call wrong between a mark and a lineball at the 45 yard line, and getting the call wrong between square ball and a penalty. They did both result in goals, but I'd always rather the referee was incorrectly giving my own team penalties.
