Replying To Lockjaw:  "Some boy Jap. Played a bit of ball with him one summer many moons ago in New York. A quality operator."
He has a lovely style and a wand of a left boot still. As a neutral for the final I'd love to see Ballybay win it . They've had a quality team over the last number of years and have under achieved imo. Jap only has the one county title which seems a bit mad, and that was 8 years ago. Will be difficult to stop the Scotstown machine though.

Replying To Ulsterman:  "The resurgence of hurling within Belfast is extremely welcome and Antrim can only benefit from this. Both Rossa and St. John's were very unlucky in their semi finals and some questionable decisions affected the outcome of both games. The future looks bright again for Antrim."
Watched both games and while there were questions over the length of added time played in the second game I wouldn't say the refs overall decisions affected the outcome of either game. Both refs had bad calls against both sets of teams but at the end of the day the two teams through were deserved winners on the day.

Yeah he has a similar style to Odhran MacNiallais. Always seems to have time on the ball and a wand of a left peg.
It would be nice for him to land another county title.

Muckross! Good to hear from you, you've been quiet on these boards this last while. Hope all is well in through.
Your lads did a very professional job on Gweedore at the weekend. Very tight call for the final. Hopefully the powers that be will allow a few hundred in to watch the game.

Cheers Lockjaw, been a few things going on at this end & to tell you the truth I got tired of the juvenile sagging.
Should be a good final with Glenties as slight favourites, they never give up.
Our lads are going well but losing O'Donnell is a blow as our bench wouldn't be that strong.
Looking forward to it.

Replying To SaffronDon:  "Two great hurling semi's in Antrim today. The city clubs coming up just short. Hopefully next year they can make the break through."
City boys fairing a little better in Limerick with Na Piarsaigh into another final after a surprisingly easy win over champions Patrickswell.

They were marginally on top during a crazy fast opening 20 mins that almost had more points than minutes but a red for Patrickswell just as they were eating into the NaP lead meant that NaP were able to grow in strength as the second half went on.

They meet Doon in the final on Saturday

in Down we had the semi finals yesterday with Carryduff reaching there first ever senior county final in defeating ballyholland by a point in extra time, and they will be playing down kingpins kilcoo who easily beat warrenpoint.

Really only going to be one winner here in kilcoo.

Watched the games and one earlier in the championship and was impressed with the standard. Yeah there was a certain physicality/niggle that may not be needed but was impressed overall (maybe not saying a lot coming from a cavan man) . Where have Antrim been?

NaP surely heavy favourites for that one then? They're usually a strong shout for Munster anyway. Very skillful team any time ive watched them.

Great to see Carryduff reach the final. Will the final be in Newry do you know?

Yes, on Sunday.

Magpies clear favourites but Duff is my club so we have to believe. Stranger things have happened.

Best of luck for the final! The future looks bright for Carryduff. Going well at under age and already starting to bare fruit at senior. It can only be a good thing for the county team as well with talent coming from new avenues. A strong Down side would shake Ulster up a bit and hopefully beyond.

Kilcoo my club, great win against a very tough ballyholland team yesterday for you boys.
you have bounced back well from that Clonduff game, watched you live against Longstone and bryansford and your putting in some great performances.
A seriously exciting team in the making i just think this is too soon for you but as you've said stranger things have happened, you just have to be in game going into last 10 mins to have any hope.
Side note great for down club football that we have another team on the rise, can only be good for the county.

I was a little disappointed with the 'Point in that game as they never really got going. Kilcoo have a very strong running game and the men to take the scores so the task is massive, not to mention a serious defence.

I watched the Clonduff game too and I'm stunned at how We responded to reach the final. Hanging on at times against Ballyholland. Give it your best lads, Ceathrú Aoidh Dhuibh abú.

My Mother is from Tullaree so I cheer for your team on any other occasion :)

Credit to those at paircTV.com again for doing a grand job with the stream including action replays and half time stats..

Doon seem to have been the coming team for a few years now but have fallen short to amazing NaP and Patrickswell teams and also have never won the county so might be a bit of extra pressure.

Doon beat a pretty hot Kilmallock in the Semis but ya NaP are missing Dowling and Downes but are favourites and are one of those teams that are almost unbeatable at their best.

Side note: Aaron Gillanes little brother has been starting for Patrickswell and he looks easily good enough to join his brother in the county panel

Is he not already on the Limerick panel?
