Replying To KillingFields:  "That is ridiculous. The forum is tiny. It could be so much better. Why do people not want a better site?"
Just winding you up. You are pretty passionate about this subject. You can change lots of things but people are the hardest. It does'nt matter if its facebook, twitter or whatever it is only a matter of time until someone crosses the line or over the top. The key board is like a drug to some. The best is not to take anything too serious. Or take out the old salt cellar.

This site needs to be revamped. It would encourage more people to join.
List all who are moderators on the main page of the forum should be a priority.
Should everyone not know who manages the forum?"
Listen man, I agree the forum is a bit behind the times. I agree mods should be listed. I agree that there are probably a few others around here who have had more than one username.
But look, the moderators, from what I can see here, dont want the hassle of all that. It is a website with a forum. That is their prerogative. The other 'prominent' posters have little appetite for it either. That all means that these changes arent going to happen. If that is what you want from a forum then you are not going to find it here, so maybe stop rising to the bait from the one or two who clearly revel in baiting you, and just move on to the next topic.

HardCase you are some man. A brand new poster to HS but has only participated in this thread. Truly amazing that a new poster has zero interest in any other topic.

I know you want this to be me. But mods can confirm its not me as the IP address will be different.
Id love it if it was me but its not. Its as likely to be you.

I think if the moderators had something to say to you, they'd have said so a long time ago. Give it a rest and move on!

Well then should they not say something then?
Either say they will look at modernising the site or that they wont and lock the thread.
I think wanting a better site that would attract more people is a good thing.
I dont know why people would rather this set up to one which is faster, has more and better features.

I don't know any thing about these dual accounts. It seems to me talking to yourself is a bit odd and could confuse you. However if you start answer yourself I think it is time to seek help.

You don't know why people would rather this setup?

You really should know. There's now 18 pages on this thread explaining this to specifically
you.

Perhaps there's a technical glitch on your device where you can't see anyone else's responses.

Maybe but i dont understand why people want to use an outdated set up and not a modern version
It would be like wanting to drive and always use a 1982 car when a 2020 car is available

I find it strange people wouldnt want quicker posting, better search functionality, more features is all.

Why would you want old, broken down car when you can get a new ferrari .... makes no sense.

Retro cars can be great. Websites are not especially when they dont allow you do anything like what happens on other sites.
Could the mods answer why they dont/wont make changes?
If they do i might stop asking for improvements to the site.

Suppose the moderators don't answer you, which is almost certainly the case, are you going to do this for another 18 plus pages?

Sure keep asking if it makes you feel any better. It's free.

Why not?
If they answer then there is a definitive answer but if there's no response then why shouldnt questions continue until a response is given?
