Cluxton has a fine haul of medals for sure but considering he's played ove 100 championship matches and 95% of them at home is his record really that great?

I mean Diarmuid Murphy and Charlie Nelligans records are far better and both played 95% of their games away from home.

I know times have changed but when I was a goalkeeper the stadium/pitch you played in didn't change your ability to stop it kick a ball weather it was home or away

What does location have to do with your ability to stop a round piece of leather from passing through two metal poles? Are you confusing the sport with orienteering perhaps?

It always helps to be at home ladswith the hill at your back with crowd behind you reffs being kinder just look at no retaking the penalty,

not to mention you've kicked out the ball in that stadium for nearly 20 years and you know every swirling breeze as well.

It's a known fact the home advantage is massive in sport.

So a goalkeeper's revolutionising of his sport is down to home advantage? Good Lord. Nothing got to do with natural ability and endless hours of practice?

You're confusing team results with a player's individual ability. Give him a ball and a yard of grass.

Cluxton. Its a debate for who is the second best.

Cluxton has changed the game in the way no other keeper ever did.

His record speaks for itself.

When he retires, and with JG leaving there might actually be a chance for the rest of us.
