Duvet Or Not To Duvet, That Is The Question?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Will Dublin go full blanket on this young Kerry team on the 1st of September?

Will Jim Gavin take the chance of going man on man with these Kerry forwards?

This Dublin team hasn't come up against a forward unit like this in a long time. History has to be made so will Jim go toe to toe or maybe do the sensible thing and go for the blanket?

Our Kerry teams always struggle against a good blanket and Gilroy won an All Ireland against us with the blanket back in 2011.

Who's Dermot?

Take your anglicisation somewhere else, we're meant to be the West Brits round here.

Do yourself a favour and watch the whirlwind that was Dublin's demolition of Mayo between minutes 35 and 46 last Sat. Not since 9/11 has such damage been inflicted on an area 145 x 85m. The only duvet required on 9/1 coming will be fire blankets to extinguish the blaze in the Kerry defence :)

Joe Brolly would say it is the greatest duvet ever. If it were Tyrone it would be a charity shop duvet

Dublin will start Connolly to even up the age profile against this experienced Kerry team

Kerry think they have a duvet but it's more like a very thin polyester sheet. Most people throw it off in the summer months. Dublin will do exactly that.

I look forward to seeing the Dublin forwards rampaging through this Swiss cheese defense much as Kerry did to us in 78. 5-11 to 0-9. I was there in 78 and I'll be there on the first. Accounts are going to be settled.
Kerrys are taking comfort in the brilliantly executed ambush by Donegal in 2014 at odds of 10-1. Forget it. Gavin learned that lesson well and it can never happen again while he's in charge. An ambush has to be a surprise. 9/2 is short odds IMO.
If Kerry do not use the double duvet to begin with they are finished early on. Dublin will goal and the first one will signal the end for Kerry. I see Kerry desperately holding on until half time. After that, look at Dublin's stats.
Kerry have some excellent players, no doubt about that but we have a lot more.
You can't outlast us. you can't outshoot us. You can't outrun us. You can't outplay us............................. Who you gonna call?

As billy Keane said on the radio this isn't about us stopping the 5 in a row it's about us trying to win 1 in a row.
