Longstone U-8 Panel at An Riocht Tournament with Brendan McVeigh, Down goalkeeper
ACL I Longstone 0-16 Bryansford 1-13
*On Friday evening these two old rivals served up an exciting game at Longstone Pk. which ended with the points shared. Bryansford went into a five point lead as the first half progressed, but Longstone gradually fought back and at half-time trailed by one point, 0-8 to 0-9. During the second period the home team gained the upper hand overall and led by three points with a few minutes left. However, Bryansford pointed and snatched a late goal to edge ahead by one early in injury time. Thankfully, Longstone picked themselves up to give one last effort and grabbed the equaliser in the last attack of the game.
