Clare hurler David Fitzgerald isn’t complaining about the condensed inter-county season.
While some players and managers have been critical of the busy schedule, the Inagh-Kilnamona clubman is relishing it.
“When you progress far in the league with the new structure, you're on week-on-week, nearly since February,” the PwC GAA/GPA Player of the Month Award for March told gaa.ie
“From a player’s point of view, I know a lot of players say it, and I just want to reiterate it, that is what we obviously want. We want game-after-game.
“Compared to the old way, when I first started back in 2016, you'd play a game, and if you lost you might have six weeks off for another round. It is way better from a player point of view.”
