Second-half goals from substitutes Ruairi McDonald and Jack Conlon proved to be the difference as Clann Eireann bridged a gap of 58 years to win the Armagh SFC title.
The Lurgan men took the spoils today with a barnstorming 2-12 to 0-16 victory over favourites Crossmaglen Rangers at the Athletic Grounds.
The winners delivered a powerful finish to an enthralling contest, 'winning' the fourth-quarter by 2-6 to 0-4 to run out deserving champions.
Deadlocked on 0-5 apiece at half-time, Cross' looked set to claim the Gerry Fegan trophy for a 46th time when holding a six-point lead at the second water-break thanks to points by Oisin and Rian O’Neill and Cian McConville.
But Clann, who were inspired by eight points from Conor Turbitt, had other ideas as both McDonald and Conlon struck majors to turn the tie around.
Conlon's goal had more than a hint of good fortune about it but Clann Eireann won't care...
