Erin's Own Cargin are two wins away from retaining their Antrim senior football championship title after cruising past Aghagallon with an emphatic 4-20 to 0-9 victory last night.

Goals from John Carron and Conhuir Johnston helped the holders to dominant the first-half in Dunsilly as they moved towards a 2-12 to 0-3 interval lead.

Michael McCann netted the Toome men’s third goal and his younger brother Tomás would grab their fourth to put the icing on the cake in what would be a 23-point win in the end, marking Pete McGrath’s last game in charge of Aghagallon.

The Down legend informed his players in the dressing room afterwards that he would be stepping down after four seasons at the helm with the St Mary’s club.

The other quarter-finals down for decision in the Antrim SFC this weekend see Naomg Brid up against Dunloy Cuchullains this evening (5pm) in Cargin, while Sunday’s last eight clashes see Creggan and O’Donovan Rossa battle it out at Lamh Dhearg (1pm) ahead of Portglenone and Naomh Gall meeting in Dunsilly (4pm).
