Armagh manager Kieran McGeeney has gone with 10 starters from last year’s All-Ireland SFC final triumph for tomorrow’s Allianz League opener against Galway in Salthill.
In a repeat of last year’s Sam Maguire Cup decider, the Orchard men take on the Tribesmen with both sides looking to get their 2025 Division 1 campaign off to a winning start.
Annaghmore clubman Tomás McCormack is set to make his league debut for Armagh at right corner-back, while wing back Greg McCabe and attackers Darragh McMullan and Cian McConville are others that didn’t play in last July’s All-Ireland final and are named to start tomorrow.
Stefan Campbell, who came on last time against Galway to set up Barry McCambridge for the decisive goal at Croke Park, is named by McGeeney at number 15 for this weekend’s trip west.
Throw-in at Pearse Stadium is at 5.15pm and the game will be shown live in TG4.
