Newly crowned Leinster champions Louth will face Monaghan in their first round All-Ireland SFC match in Cedral St Conleth’s Park.
With the Wee County using Inniskeen in recent years for their home championship matches, the Monaghan venue was off the cards for the clash with their Ulster neightbours.
With a host of other closer possible venues such as Newry and Navan unavailable, and Croke Park not a runner on this occasion, Louth fans will have to travel a distance for their home encounter.
Those who are making their way from Dundalk will have over two hours of a journey for the home game.
The venue has been a happy hunting ground for Louth fans in recent weeks though as it was the scene of their Leinster U20FC final win over Meath.
