Two early goals helped Sligo cruise to a comfortable 3-19 to 0-10 win over London at Markievicz Park this afternoon.

Niall Murphy and Brian Egan registered the majors in the eighth and ninth minutes respectively to put the Yeats men on the path towards a third win in Division 4 of the Allianz Football League.

The hosts led by 2-8 to 0-5 at half-time and would only allow London to score the same tally of points after the turnaround despite losing Conor Griffin to a second yellow card midway through the second period.

Matt Moynihan and James Gallagher were the players to provide what proved consolation points for the visitors, as Sean Carrabine’s goal and a late point from Luke Towey helped round off the 18-point win for Sligo and condemn the Exiles to a second defeat in the process.

The win bumps Tony McEntee's men up to second in the Division 4 table ahead of this afternoon's other games as they chase promotion with two rounds remaining.
