Roscommon GAA have updated their crest after the wrong breed of sheep appeared on it.

Sheep breeders in the area alerted the county board to the mistake which they have now rectified. Up until now, a sheep with a black head had appeared on the crest. However, the Roscommon sheep breed has a white head and a wavy white fleece.

The Irish Rare Breeds Society are among those working to preserve the breed that has now been restored to the new Roscommon jersey, which has been likened to that of Serie A strugglers Parma.
