The Kerry senior and intermediate ladies football finals will take place as planned in Austin Stack Park on Sunday.

The scheduling of the Kerry SFC quarter-final between holders East Kerry and St Kieran’s for 2pm at Austin Stack Park sparked controversy as the intermediate ladies final had already been fixed for the same time and venue. But a compromise has been reached to allow all three games to be played at the Tralee venue on Sunday.

While the men’s clash stays at 2pm, the ladies intermediate and senior finals will now be played at 4.30pm and 6.30pm respectively. Scartaglin and MKL Gaels meet in the intermediate decider, while South Gaels and Castleisland Desmonds face in a senior final which will now be partly played under lights.

The other Kerry SFC quarter-finals include a double-header in Fitzgerald Stadium on Sunday afternoon featuring Templenoe vs Dingle and Dr Crokes vs Rathmore. The Killarney venue also hosts the other quarter-final between St Brendan’s and Kenmare Shamrocks at 3.30pm on Saturday.
