St Tiernach's Park Clones is set to receive €340,000 from the Irish government for the installation of floodlights.

Home to the Ulster senior football championship final each year, the Monaghan ground was awarded the money through the Community Sports Facilities fund.

The government announced its biggest ever investment in sports facilities across the country for clubs and counties earlier this week.

No floodlights in Clones saw the 2020 Ulster SFC final, which was played in November due to the Covid-19 pandemic, switched to Armagh’s Athletic Grounds.
