Roscommon GAA is mourning the passing of Jimmy Mannion, who was synonymous with the St Brigid's club.
Jimmy, who was vice-president of the Kiltoom outfit, played and managed at both club and county level. One of his proudest moments was seeing his son Shane help St Brigid's to All-Ireland club SFC success in 2013.
“Jimmy has left an imprint on St Brigid's both on and off the pitch that will last forever. He will be dearly missed by his many friends in the GAA family,” the club said in a statement.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie (Campbell), children Emily and Shane, brothersof Gerry and Alfie, sisters Evelyn and Carmel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. He is predeceased by his brother T.J.
