Blow for Mayo as Mullin extends AFL stay

Oisín Mullin has signed a one-year extension to his contract with AFL side Geelong Cats.
The former Young Footballer of the Year, who joined the then AFL Premiership champions nearly 18 months ago, will remain at the club until at least the end of the 2025 season. It scuppers hopes of him returning to play for Mayo any time soon.
“We acknowledge how courageous and brave the decision Oisín made to move to Australia, he has positively embedded himself into our football program and we are extremely happy with his development,” Geelong Cats General Manager – Football Andrew Mackie said.
