All the results on a very busy January Wednesday evening.

In the McKenna Cup, Donegal, Derry, Monaghan and Armagh qualified for the semi-finals after this evening’s games.

Monaghan put a poor start behind them to win 2-9 to 0-12 against Fermanagh while Armagh squeezed past Tyrone by 1-14 to 2-10, holding on after a later Tyrone goal.

Down staged a huge comeback win to see off Cavan by 2-15 to 1-15, having trailed by six points during the second half.

Clare and Limerick finally went head to head in the Munster HL with the All-Ireland champions winning out 2-22 to 1-19, with Clare hitting 1-2 late on to improve the scoreline.

In a busy second day of Sigerson Cup action University of Ulster Jordanstown had too much for defending champions UCC, winning 1-13 to 1-10. TUS Midlands hit a late goal to edge out SETU Carlow by 3-11 to 2-13.

University of Limerick were way too strong for ATU Donegal as they eased to a 3-12 to 0-8 win while in the afternoon throw-in, UCD waltzed past ATU Galway by 1-22 to 1-5 UCD.
