There was a bizarre moment in Saturday’s McGrath Cup clash between Kerry and Limerick at Rathkeale.
As the Kingdom coasted to a 6-18 to 0-11 victory and a place in the final on January 19, substitute Keith Evans raced through on goal with only Limerick ‘keeper Jeffrey Alfred to beat. Evans fired a powerful shot against the upright which rebounded off the unlucky Alfred and over the bar.
It was an eventful afternoon for Alfred who replaced Aaron O’Sullivan in goal at half-time and finished with 0-3 to his credit – two ‘45s and an own point!
It's not often you see something like this happen in a game! #OwnPoint pic.twitter.com/kzX0nxy3ir

Keith Evan's shot thumps off the upright, rebounds off Limerick's goalkeeper Jeffrey Alfred & finishes over the crossbar.
When was the last time Kerry Senior Footballers got an 'own score' from the opposition?
