Bulfin set to 'double job' in 2024

Seoirse Bulfin

Seoirse Bulfin will manage both the Meath and Charleville senior hurlers this year.

Charleville have announced on Instagram that Bulfin will succeed fellow Limerick man Mark Foley as their manager for the coming season. Foley brought the curtain down on his three-year involvement with the club following their Cork SHC quarter-final defeat to St Finbarr’s last September.

The split-season allows Bulfin to combine the Charleville role with that of Meath manager. Having served as a coach to Nick Weir in 2022, the TUS Midwest lecturer in sports and psychology stepped up to manage the Royals to a Christy Ring Cup and Allianz League Division 2B double last year.

Prior to joining Meath, he amassed a wealth of experience as Davy Fitzgerald’s right-hand man over an 18-year period. They spent one year together at Waterford, five with Clare (winning an All-Ireland in 2013) and another five years at Wexford (winning a first Leinster title in 15 years in 2019).
