Work has commenced to replace the entire playing surface at Croke Park.
It comes after a series of concerts held at the stadium by country rock star Garth Brooks this month.
The old turf has been stripped away and the playing surface has been releveled in preparation for the new pitch to be laid down over the next couple of days.
No GAA matches will be held at Croke Park for the coming months, with the possibility of the next games being the Leinster club finals early next year.
TweetWork is well underway to replace the entire Croke Park pitch. The old turf has been stripped away and the pitch has been releveled so everything is perfect for the new turf to be laid. #GAABelong
