No home comforts for Laois

One of the most disappointing teams of this year's Allianz Football League has been Laois.

The O'Moore County will ply their trade in Division 4 in 2023 after suffering back-to-back relegations. Yesterday's game against Longford was their eighth without a win in MW Hire O'Moore Park, meaning they have one of the worst home records in the country.

Compounding their misery was the presence of Arles-Killeen clubman and former O'Moore County U20 boss Billy O'Loughlin in the Longford dugout. It goes without saying that Billy Sheehan's men - for whom 39-year-old Ross Munnelly made a late apperance off the bench - have a lot of work to do before they face Wicklow in the first round of the Leinster SFC in a few weeks' time.
