Padraic Joyce has released his Galway senior football panel before the start of the Allianz League campaign, with a ‘feeder squad’ to choose from throughout the season.

As discussed by captain Shane Walsh, Joyce has drafted a number of players from last year's successful All-Ireland U20 team into his panel, namely Jack Glynn, Cathal Sweeney, Matthew Tierney, Paul Kelly and Tomo Culhane and there are more on standby.

The Tribesmen will be without All-Star forward Ian Burke after he informed the manager that he is taking a break from inter-county football.

Athenry midfielder Tom Flynn and Mountbellew-Moylough's John Daly are on the treatment table with injuries.
