I would not write off Errigal Ciaran.killcoo were no push over team. Its was a highly contested game and it took that bit of magic to win it. They won a very tough battle. They've a great team and a great manager and backroom staff as theyre so fit. border Gael (Monaghan) - Posts: 905 - 08/12/2024 23:00:29 2582826 Link 1 |
I watched the teams again today and I think it was a pity that both losing teams didn't go for it more..kilcoo have shown in last few years they can beat anyone when they do play football..I thought they were crazy defensive, maybe because of the canavans but definitely feel they didn't go for it..I was delighted for Mcginley, comes across as being very humble..thought loughmore should really have gone for it,they are capable and a few times they ran at crokes and opened them up..two semis to come and cuala will be odds on to win but will need to be very careful ..I'd give vote to crokes in the other one but won't be surprise if errigal get a result..think new rules will definitely lead to way more attacking football with defenders having to depend more on their own ability.. Ate your serious Fionn.Cuala are favourites for All Ireland with bookies with Crokes second. Then come Errifgal Ciaran 3rd with Coolerea the big outsiders at 9/1. That means Cuala have the easiest draw and odds on to be in AI final. CiarraiMick (Dublin) - Posts: 3851 - 09/12/2024 01:03:38 2582834 Link 0 |
Dont be so quick to jump in on my posts there like a good man..... Read it again..... An easier route to the final now imo anyway. Cant's see E/C stopping them. Yes, it is an easier route to the final as Kilcoo are better than EC - Kilcoo would have made it harder to get to the final.... Happy now.... Yes I rate McGinley highly also. Happy for E/C - the Canavan brothers are a joy to watch. Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 4052 - 09/12/2024 08:38:22 2582844 Link 0 |

As Mc Ginley said, if teams keep concentrating on the two Canavan's it frees up other players. Looking forward to National League and keeping three players up.

The Dublin champions tend to be the default favourites these days. A lot of expectation that the winners will avail of home comforts. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 8385 - 09/12/2024 10:37:37 2582865 Link 2 |

I agree.I think McGinley is a superb pundit on TSG and has done a great job with E.C.

If Cuala do get to the final they will not be favourites, Indeed, they are unlikely to be that much shorter than they are now, depending on manner of victory of either Crokes or Errigal.

Errigal Ciaran and Cuala I'm expecting to win the semi finals with the Tyrone champions to edge a highly competitive final. Gaa_lover (USA) - Posts: 3504 - 09/12/2024 19:38:22 2582926 Link 0 |
Really hope the Ballygawley lads can win it out now. Viking66 (Wexford) - Posts: 14127 - 09/12/2024 20:17:38 2582931 Link 1 |
The best team in All Ireland as their captain kept early in the speech. They were ok yesterday but it wasn't strong opposition.
