I see a good few of the best stand tickets on ticketmaster . I hope that's not all returns from our county board!

Find it very annoying there was no word of any tickets going to clubs until last night when I had already ordered mine online!

Tipp? They used to be, but not these days. They still believe that they're the home of hurling and that if something didn't happen in Tipperary, it didn't happen at all!

Replying To countyman2022:  "They are horrible. Have been at countless Clare games over the last 3 years. You won't meet a more spiteful bunch of people. Bitter and always playing the victims. The way they carried themselves after the Munster final and KK match last year were beyond belief. Follow in their managers footsteps."
I suppose I do not have enough trial of the Clare crowd, but I wouldn't have them down as spiteful. Mind you, I have friends in and around the city who can't stand Clare, but know fellas out the southeast of the county whose main target of focus is the Tipp and Cork crowd. I suppose proximity breeds contempt.

They do always give the poor mouth, though, even from the mouth of Lohan blaming the ref after matches. He seems to be a bit cuter this year and is keeping his gob shut. I have never seen such a crowd to lay blame everywhere but at their own door. If you are not good enough on the day, you have to hold your hands up and accept responsibility for it. Davy (and Glen Ryan in Kildare) was an arch hand at the blame game too: the big boys against poor little us attitude; the big boys getting all the breaks and little us getting none.

Jaysus, if Clare had the same number of hurling clubs as Carlow has or that are in North Kerry, then Clare could be classified as the small fella.

People get sick of that 'poor us' attitude fairly fast. I do anyway.

Cairde members get 1st shot at them. Not expecting a massive crowd anyway with the matches on so early.

To be fair to Davy he won all Ireland's, Glen ryan is just a spoofer.

It's a win and two draws technically.

Lost aet in 13, they went on to win the all Ireland. drew in 14 and won aet in the replay.

I go to Clare a good bit. Fond of the armada in Spanish point for our wedding anniversary. Lovely Spot with lovely people.

I have had some not so great experiences with Clare supporters though. Particularly Thurles in 13 and again at the 21 final. It did leave a somewhat bitter taste.

I'd usually enjoy sharing stories with opposition fans. In my experience the Clare lads have no respect for us.

Poor Clare, always the victims, never at fault.

Replying To WEXILE:  "Just remembered as a child being told to shout "**** in the powders" at KK fans if they were giving us a hard time. An apparent derogatory term for kk folk which originates from 1798 rebellion whereby they were supposed to have **** on the gunpowder instead of joining the rebellion. It's more than likely historically not true but I dunno I wasn't there!

That's probably lost on youngsters generation now as never heard that recently."
It's true.....it was in Castlecomer

Replying To Mossy73:  "Unfortunately I am talking about both sets of supporters here. This is my opinion based on what i have seen & heard over the years !! There is nothing wrong with healthy rivalry but there is a toxic bitterness creeping in. It is actually the one fixture in the round robin that i don't look forward to now ( unfortunately )"
Every county will have its idiots but the state of this thread - generalising toxic nonsense about Clare people.
Myself and my young lad were stopped up outside Cusack Park after Limerick won this year and treated to a foul mouthed rant by one brave lout in green. But you'd want to be a complete arse to take that as an indicator of Limerick people. Given all the great relationships between the communities most of us know better.

We'd regard Liam Griffin almost as one of our own- son of a clare man, winner of several clare titles with Newmarket. Hope he doesn't get exposed to some of what passes as commentary on here.

It's prematch forum stuff. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it if I was you. If you get a lad ranting at you at a match a few smart remarks back is the shot for them. If they go to attack you flatten them in self defense. None of it is really worth getting upset over.

Wasn't 13 the year Mossy Waters did his cruciate against Clare and the ref refused to stop the play? Clare scored 3 points while he was on the ground getting treatment. Didn't the ref also pinged Fanning for stepping outside the small square on puckouts a few times? Something I've never seen pinged by a ref before or since and EVERY keeper does it constantly. Should have beaten them that year, they were blessed to get out of that game.

Still loads of stand tickets available this morning. I could be wrong but could be looking at only 30k on Saturday. Would serve the Gaa right they would have good a full house in Nowlan Park Saturday night or if they moved the games to Thurles on Sunday!

I dont think you should have beaten us in 2013. I felt Clare were comfortable throughout the game and not overly troubled. We also shot a mountain of wides same day. I think we were 5 or so up at half time and approaching the end of the game. We didnt handle the end well from a defesive point of view but showed our quality winning by ten in extra time.
