I wouldn't be too worried about the number of supporters shouting for wexford Saturday. Every cork jersey in thurles will be shouting for wexford which should be considerable.

Was this the last time it was held in Wexford or was it more recently held there too?"
That was the last time LRH. You are very modest. You absolutely hammered Glen Rovers. Who are your representatives this year? Think you have 8 teams coming down?

In 2022 most of them went home early after losing to Galway!

Those who hang around for the second game. I would imagine most of Cork and Dublin supporters will leave after their game to beat traffic

How many Cork supporters will stay to watch the match, rather than get on the road home?

And personally speaking I wouldn't speak out about or blame anyone who doesn't want to travel to Thurles, I don't blame then one bit.

It's a kip, there's nothing in the place, public transport isn't an option it's drive or nothing, I've yet to get a decent ticket for a match there evidenced again this week with the allocation, it's an absolutely horrendous road and journey evidenced by the fact it takes over 2 hours to travel what is around 105km followed by a 1.5 to 2 km walk depending on where ye get parking.

Maybe if we stop going they might stop sending us down there! We have the worst journey there of all the major hurling counties.

And then we have it on Saturday, in the middle of the day, 1.15 and 3.15, people do work on Saturdays like and generally a lot finish at lunch time, Saturday is a busy day for most people I know with kids myself included.

And that's before you even factor in the Feile!

I'm going myself on Saturday out of nothing but loyalty to the team but don't blame anyone that doesn't or doesn't wat to one bit.

I agree with Mullane, we should have took a stand and seen what happened, no more Thurles and no more ridiculous scheduling.

We were co-hosts in 2017, along with Carlow and Wicklow, when it was still run 'the old way' with every club in the host counties taking part, and visiting players staying with host families in those clubs.

We also hosted Féile Peil in 2015.

We only beat Kilkenny when they are already qualified for Leinster final and Notting game really, other than 1 occassion I think and we absolutely have to get a win!! Score line flattered us this year!!! Kilkenny only getting Goin now, don't even have to be a there best to win Leinster!!! We are average I think to be honest,I think when it comes down to it really we get found out, before ya start I would absolutely love to be proved wrong!!! I just think we have regressed since 19 and we are miles away from that level even,we haven't even shown half of that type of level!!! In proper games like these I really feel our big players are absolutely nullified and therefore we get beat!!!

Whatever about it being in Thurlus the throw in times for these games is madness. What is the reason with them being on so early? More often than not these games would be played in the evening, is seems daft.

The funny thing was we went toe to toe with Clarecastle in the Clare final winning by a point in a replay if I remember correctly, then we annihilated all in front of us in the Ireland Feile beating a fancied Glen Rovers by a cricket score in the final. Hoggy was on the bench for Glen Rovers that day as an 11 or 12 year old.

I didn't make the panel for the Feile that year in 99.
I was very disappointed as I was on it through the Clare Feile but I was a year young for that group. Still have the medal at home though.

Not true about Kilkenny having nothing to play for. In 2022 when we beat Kilkenny in Nowlan Park if Dublin had of got anything from their game against Galway Kilkenny would've been out of the Championship in 4th place in Leinster.

Are you sure we co hosted Feile in 2017?

Because RTE are showing a rugby game with no Irish side in it, and a soccer tournament with no Irish side in it. You couldn't make it up.

That's an unbelievably pessimistic outlook. In 22 depending on other results they'd have been out. We beat them in a semi final in 17 and final in 19. We also beat them in every other competition in the last decade multiple times. Kilkenny go out to win every game so that doesn't wash with me m I will say they tend to improve as the season goes on.

I disagree about the scoreline this year. We totally dominated them in the first 25 minutes and the last 10. It was totally a 50/50 game that could have gone either way. They were lucky to hold out but that's history now.

We're better now than we were in 19. Trouble is almost everyone else is better too. We had no bench then.

With Croke Park shut on Saturday too. It looks like quarter finals are ranked in order of importance by both GAA/Rte :

Taiteann Cup
Euros & URC
Bruce Springsteen
Eid Celebrations
Hurling

I know that's a ridiculous statement but that's what it feels like
