Full steam ahead for Mc Hugh as Westmeath manager, Corduff who he has been coaching with Banty and Rory Gallagher were well beaten in Monaghan senior quarter final yesterday,

Replying To PowellJohn3: "leave it be" exactly. Seems to be 1 or 2 pushing for change here but its nonsense. What we have is working so leave it alone.

Replying To Dazzler30: "J1 Ballinagore And shamrocks Intermediate Milltown and Tubberclaire Senior hard to look passed downs lomans repeat" Junior 1. Joseph's and Lomans. Joseph's winning scrappy games. Not scoring much and lowest concession rate of all teams. Ballinagore,,would love to see them go to final against Joseph's but they are untested in past two games. Inter: I'm going for an all Milltown final. Milltown v Milltownpass. Just think both sides have momentum. Hard to call either way. Senior: On form has to be Downs and Lomans but....??

I think St. Joseph's and Ballinagore to win and face off in the final; intermediate very hard to call, Shandonagh may well bounce back against Milltown who started slowly but have put a run together, Miltownpass came through the B section so hard to know where they are at, they looked good at times against Multy yet conceded 2-15 and looked in trouble at one stage but have won most games convincingly, Tubberclair without Whittaker again will be a loss to them and his absence may well be a big factor. Hard to look past The Downs and St. Loman's in the Senior really, although maybe Kinnegad have a little momentum at the right time.

Would love Jospeh's to win this championship but they've a serious case of white line fever in the last few years.

You'd get considerable odds on a Milltown vs Milltownpass intermediate final. No betting expert but surely get 11-2 on the double there?

Talk of the town is that 'Tooler' will be back for the Final? That would be interesting, if you're Paddy Dowdall what would you do? Start him and possibly take Joey Moran out of the game. St Loman's played UCD in a Challenge Match last week, Hes was away with work as has been the case this year. St Loman's still rely on him heavily, they will need him at the top of his game. The Downs look the better balanced team and should stop the 3 in a row again. The Downs played Gowna (I think) in a Challenge Match recently, that's all I have gotten from my sources from The Downs.

Replying To PowellJohn3: "leave it be" They should look at a relegation final between the two bottom teams of the Intermediate Sections, as in Junior. St Mary's Rochfortbridge lost all 5 of their games with an average losing margin of 7.6 points. Ballycomoyle and St Mary's Rochfortbridge are the only 2 teams not to have won a Championship match this year.

Replying To gti: "What is Wrong with Matthew Whittaker?" Recurrence of an injury sustained with Westmeath; sources aren't always reliable either. But he didn't feature in a recent challenge versus an Offaly club near the Westmeath border.

St. Mary's were in section A this year and faced four quite strong or very strong sides. Who would they play against in a further game and to decide what? They've been demoted to section B for next year. Why would they face a relegation match?

St Mary's Rochfortbridge should play bottom placed in Section B to decide who goes down to Junior. Winner of that relegation match stays in Section B.
