Very best of luck to Oisin and the team on Saturday. If they believe enough in themselves enough, they are well capable of pulling this off.

Best of luck to Wicklow on the weekend, would be great for ye to win a major trophy and finally get back into Sam Maguire. Down may be overwhelming favourites, but you shouldn't be afraid of them. It would be tiresome to see Down win the Tailteann Cup again (I'm sure Down fans agree with this to some degree), and I think this'll be a very close game.

Best of luck to the team and management. I'm really looking forward to it, although I'm a bit nervous to be honest. We're definitely the underdogs, though I would have said same about Antrim and Offaly. Hopefully the hunger will get us over the line. A win would be massive for Wicklow GAA. If we could pull it off we would no longer be the generic example of weaker county the media goes too. Wicklow Abu.

"Down should not be in this competition". If you are in the TC you are there for a reason.

"Down are unbeatable" No they are not, they have lost multiple times.

My prediction ? Wicklow by 6 points.

It's great to see and feel the buzz around the county at the moment. Reminiscent of Mickos time here, although I think the county is better prepared to take advantage of the hype than those times. Underage were almost ignored during Mickos reign, such was the hype with the senior set up. We seem to have promising youngsters coming through - although this hasnt shown in results at underage as yet, but we seem to be making some progress. These young players now have something to aim for. I think I saw somewhere that Oisin said that he hoped the hype might encourage some more talented players to make themselves available to the county panel. Illness prevents me from attending on Sunday, but I will be glued to the tv. Cill Mhaintáin Abú

Hope you are better soon. Enjoy the game and hopefully we'll get the right result. We are long overdue a bit of success. Winning never hurts in any sports, it can only be a boost. Even if we don't win on Saturday, I hope Oisin continues and we can build on what he's created in the last two years. Also, the lead up to Saturday's game proves that there is there is a lot of untapped support there for both the hurling and football teams if these teams give the supporters something to follow.

Would love to see Wicklow do it after a roller coaster season.
Rivals but neighbours

Sorry about that Sponger. Not sure where the Sunday bit came from. And thank you for the kind words.

Appreciate your good luck message. Neighbours tend to be rivals, by and large. Never much between Wicklow and Carlow so it may be Carlow's turn next year. Should be some atmosphere at match today especially with Louth versus Mayo after the Tailteann final.

If ye win ye'll hardly sit down quietly for 2 hours to watch Louth v Rhubarbs .
Mind you paying €60 for a Tailteann Final is a bit much....

The best of luck to Wicklow today. Underdog tag is the best motivation going into a final

Congrats Wicklow. You totally deserved that. Some second half and no fluke you've been doing similar all year. Enjoy the celebrations.

Let your win also be a message to all the experts from bigger counties who keep calling, without knowing what they're talking about, for a third tier junior type championship exclusively for Div 4 counties. What yous did today proves the fallacy of that notion. Let us never hear of it again.

Had Wexford neighbours when I was a kid. Been a Wexford hurling fan ever since.
