I suppose the worry for Donegal is that they allowed Armagh get into what should have been a winning position and fair dues to Donegal they didn't blink but Armagh surely did. However there's near half a dozen teams that would probably close out the game if they were in Armagh's position.

Would Tuam not be better for both teams and think capacity would suit. Difference of about 15-20 minute for Donegal, closer for Clare.

Thanks all for the replies, Saturday would be preferable and with the new motorway from Tuam to the other side of Limerick the journey is a now bit easier. The new stadium is very good with brilliant views. For those who've never been there before parking is very good in Cork city, with the Stadium only a short walk (20 mins) from the city centre, I usually park at the City Hall Q-park. There are also loads of taxis that do drop offs a few hundred metres from the pitch. Would they move it to Pairc ui Rinn if the expected crowd is small?
As for the Clare game, Tuam or Roscommon look the most central if you take the mid-point from Malin Town to Carrigaholt in west Clare. Carrick on Shannon is closed as there is a new pitch been layed. I just hope they don't drag us to Croke Park as part of a double header with Galway v Armagh or Dublin v Mayo.

Jesus boys isn't it just great that the buzz is back?!? I know I know that this good run has meant that a lot of so-called bandwagon supporters are back. But sure look isn't that a better situation than diehard fans going to matches and the team plodding along aimlessly like last year?

I'd say there will be a cracking atmosphere Saturday week in Ballybofey. It is a match I'd be very wary of. It has ambush written all over it. Tyrone would love nothing better than to come into our patch again and take the Ulster champions down a peg or two. I'm sure Jim will get the boys right back down to Earth this week. We'll need to win it and follow the path of least resistance to the quarter finals.

I doubt I'll get down to Cork, but the Clare match in a random neutral venue should be good craic.

They are a very decent team who we done well to overcome.. if I'm being honest they were probably the better team on Sunday but the losses they had this last few years has definitely affected them . They seem to get very nervy in the last few minutes of full time and extra time."
Thats my point, they get nervy when the chips are down instead of putting teams away. Armagh are a very good team and will do well in the group stages if they can recover quickly.

The county board says they need 3 weeks after the Springsteen concert to prepare ground again. Páirc Uí Rinn capacity of 16K should be easily enough for the expected attendance.

They are a very good team and I fancy them to finish ahead of Galway in the groups if they can get over the disappointment of Sunday. I wouldn't be one but surprised to see them in an AI semi this year but they will need to get the heads right first.

They need to stop this carrying on of playing to the supporters during the game. It was very evident on Sunday. Celebrate once you have the game won, not during it.

In the end that's what inevitably cost them. They got too caught up on emotion and couldn't see the game out.

Anyone know the craic with buying a stand ticket for the Tyrone match only?
The clubs only seem to have terrace tickets so far and I don't want to buy the 3 match package as it's unlikely I'll get to Cork.
Will the clubs be given some stand tickets?

Ah really, I see. Yeah, pairc ui rinn would more than hold the expected crowd no doubt. Shame, I wanted a wee gander at the new stadium.

No stand tickets on sale just through clubs. It depends on club membership what allocation a club gets.

do you think so peiledoir, I'd fancy Galway ahead of them to be honest I think Galway are a quality outfit and very dangerous now they have such strong players are coming back

Good stuff. Hopefully should be alright then so. I don't mind standing on the terrace at all, it's just not suitable for young kids.

I tell you another bonus about Donegal's great win the last day is that the kids are now all talking about Farrah, Dáire, Paddy, Ryan etc etc

Anything that puts an end to this Mbappe, Messi Ronaldo obsession is a good thing. If I hear one more Siiiiuuuuuu at underage gaelic training it's an automatic 5 laps of the pitch!!!

Haha maith thú! I love them days on holidays when the sporting Gods put a couple of class fixtures back to back & even the wife can't dispute the fact that it's a day for the high stool!

Where ya off to in Spain? Bound to be some good bar that will be showing both.
