Has anyone heard back from there clubs regarding tickets?

Martin McNally of Monaghan the referee for Sunday. He tends to let the game flow fairly well, but reacts very badly to any questioning of his decisions, and will bring the ball forward for the slightest word. Discipline will have to absolutely spot on.

Is Andrew McClean still involved with Kilcar? His brother Matthew (I think?) had a great game in the CPnaG final yesterday.

I'm slightly nervous now about the game itself. Armagh will have learned a lot about us from our own two meetings, as well as our last two games. They will have seen how we react to various situations.

However, we have learned that no two games are the same, and each can take on a life of their own. Honestly, I think the refereeing will be critical. There's no word yet who has the gig. I thought even David Gough had a poor day yesterday, both teams will have been cursing him for some of his decisions.

We have had our own recent battles with Armagh, and we haven't always fared well with referees, so our discipline will need to be at a very high level. In the Kenna Cup Final we were very naive by reacting when Derry got a well deserved red card. We can't afford similar of it happens next Sunday. And a suspension from next Sunday could be more costly than at any other time.

Let's hope all goes to plan and we get the job done without injuries or suspensions."
Hi SouthOfTheGap: I see Armagh supporters hoping it will be a fast paced all action helter skelter 100mph game as they say they are better at those type games than the slow laboured build up type game. If they bring physicality and also bring size to their full forward line it could cause us a lot of problems.

Yeah I'd be wary if they played the likes of Rían O'Neill and Andrew Murnin inside, and started launching in those diagonal type long balls that Clarke and McDonnell used to love back in the day. They have caused us problems in the past with that, but interestingly didn't deploy those tactics in the League Final. Were McGeeney and co holding that back anticipating an Armagh Donegal final? Hard to know.

Undoubtedly they have been withholding that tactic in our games to date this year. They played one of them in the League game in the Athletic Grounds and got a goal from it. I think it was Steven McMenamin that list the flight of the ball in.

They have been playing Rian O'Neill out around the middle in recent times, but I can see them dropping him inside from time to time. We will need a plan for that, will Jason pick him up, or will McCole during those plays? Then again, if we drop Jason into our full forward line, will O'Neill follow him in, I can't see it.

The bookies have us as slight favourites. I'd love if the bookies opened a market for "Number of times Armagh player goes down holding his head". I'd say a safe bet will be greater than 5. They are well practiced in the dark arts.

Yeah ya wouldn't be able to teach Armagh much when it comes to ****housing that's for sure.
It will be a day for controlled aggression and for being clinical when opportunities present themselves.

I believe he is travelling. Not sure where. Heard a lot of men from Kilcar went abroad for work - assuming there is some local tie there. 2 talented brothers.

I've noticed Caolan McGonagle tends to pick up O'Neil when he heads into the square, I imagine it'll be similar on Sunday

Why would Armagh play their 2 best players inside when they know McGuinness is gonna play 15 men back on top of them. O'Neill will play midfield and Murnin will wear 14 and roam out the pitch. They'll play lesser players inside.

Hope you're right. The further those lads are from goal the better. I trust McGuinness to get the better of McGeeney tactically.

I just hope we're not as wasteful as we were against Tyrone. I do think we have better players overall than Armagh. But we still need to go out & prove that.

Andrew is in Sweden. Big loss to a Kilcar.

Good to see Michael Hegarty picking up some silverware as manager there. A very intelligent player on his day, he'll do very well on the line as well.

Every game in the ulster championship is different, every team presents a different challenge. Form goes out the window, do I believe we are better then armagh absolutely but games are won on the field and you are only as good as your next game, I'm looking forward to seeing how we will set up for armagh, it will be different to both our encounters against them this year I think. I would agree with others on we cannot be as profligate as we were against Tyrone and if we get on top of them like we did for the majority of the second half of the league final we will have to put them away

Donegal have the better players IMO. Armagh have flattered to deceive and when it has come to the crunch they have lost games when it counts. Basically when it matters most they wave the white flag, consistently, every year!

McGeeney has been there 10 years and all I can say is that Armagh supporters have to be admired for their patience with him. They have All-Ireland minor medalists in their squad, but McGeeney has won nothing with them. Are they even any better than when he took over? Probably no further on.

Don't agree with you. Mc geeney has been a very unlucky manager on big days. Remember 2011 v Donegal they got a goal disallowed near the end , if that goal was allowed to stand donegal were beaten, then with Armagh Last year he lost the Ulster final on penalties and then lost to Monaghan on penalties in croker. . If he won them 3 games he would be praised as a good manager. Football is a strange game I'm just afraid his losing streak could come to an end on Sunday. Bound to be some hunger among the players but I still think it's ours for the taking.

Armagh were very unfortunate not to win Ulster last year. Lost in the dreaded penalty shootout. I think people keep forgetting that.

It's a 50/50 game, any word on Patton? if he is able to play it could just swing it in our favour. Armagh will be hungry and well up for this game, going to be a real old style battle I think.
McGeeney has been unlucky but they say you make your own luck, I don't think he's destined to win much as Armagh manager, this could be his last chance.

Was chatting to a few kilcar folk on Monday at the final. Andrew mcClean coming home in the summer they said.
