Replying To Rossfan93:  "Took in 2 games last weekend live and another game on Clubber.

Abbeylara and Manning Gaels was a mismatch - Drumlish will struggle to pick up any points (they are in a tough group which needs to be said also). Abbeylara looked sharp at times but their real tests are yet to come. Robbie Smyth looked to have picked up an injury which could be huge, hopefully not the case.

Rathcline and Mullinaghtha was a good watch. I was amazed at how far Mullinaghta have fallen away in recent years - they were slow in the build up, keepers kickouts were very poor and offered very little up top. Rathcline the better team and if Shane Kenny was on form, they would have been 8/9 clear. Iarla O'Sullivan at 6 had a fantastic game. That being said, Rathcline coughed up some soft goal chances that could have gifted Mullinaghta an undeserved win/draw.

I watched Clonguish and Slashers back on Clubber on Sunday. Clonguish were very impressive and move the ball at speed, when they are in full flow they are a very good team to watch. Carey and Flynn did the damage with 18 points between them. Slashers will be hoping for a bounce back against Manning Gaels and kick start their championship before huge games v Rathcline and Mullinaghtha

Some good games and individual performances. Looking forward to Round 2 !"
Very unfortunate for gaels if really takes the shine out of their win from last year. Abbeylara down some big names will be very close again, they must love the fact they are underdogs.
Clonguish were impressive but they were allowed to be play the way they wanted, Mullineachta will not let them have so much space this weekend, it looks like a great game.
Killoe will more than likely be 2 from 2 with Mostrim still to play so guaranteed a to progress, after round 2 is when these group stages get interesting as the jeopardy begins to increase

Mullineachta have beaten Clonguish the last two times they've played them in league and championship. Absolute mad to think they'll win by 12, the game will be decided by a score.
Abbey, Colmcille, Killoe, Dromard and Slashers to win also.

Rathcline are a good team. But when it comes to knockout stages, cannot see past Clonguish.

I watched the Rathcline v Abbey game on clubber. I was very impressed with Rathcline last night. They surely will be dark horses for the title. Abbey came from no where last year, so why not the Rats. They have a very shrewd management team over them as well.

Another big win for Clonguish last night. We're Mullinaughta missing many. A goal in injury time to make scoreline respectable.
Clonguish vs Rathcline will be some match. Could also be a county final rehearsal

Clonguish also missing a couple of players and Ross Shields and Jamie Dorr also went off injured.
Gary Rogers is back for Mullinalaghta, so that was one positive to take from last night for them.
Still early doors yet.
Mullinalaghta will still get through the group and will have a say yet, come the business end.

Progression from the group is all that matters, Rathcline and Clonguish are safely through already now. Abbey and Mullineachta should join them. Colmcille, Killoe, Dromard and Carrickedmond to make it through from the other group in that order

I was at the Rathcline and Abbeylara game last night. Rathcline were very impressive, as per the Mullinaghtha game they had their matchups perfect. David Rooney and Iarla O'Sullivan have had 2 outstanding games. Robbie Smyth did not look right for Abbeylara and this is a huge loss for them but Shane Kenny was excellent from placed balls. A point from the sideline that was worth the admission alone. They will be very happy with 2 wins from 2 and absolutely no pressure now for the remaining 3 games.

Watched the Slashers & Drumlish game back on Clubber. Drumlish gave a good account of themselves but Slashers got themselves over the line. Sean Clarke the standout player with 1-6. Slashers will need to produce some big performances v Rathclien and mullinaghta in the next few weeks to avoid a relegation battle.

Going off early signs, Clonguish are the team to beat. Although, you can never write off killoe when it comes to knockout games and the championship is at boiling point. Rathcline will happily go under the radar but 2 wins from 2 will leave teams really trying to target the 2 Kenny brothers when it comes to crunch time.

Honourable mentions at the weekend to Aidan Maguire (Carricedmond). Matthew Carey (Clonguish), Diamuid Masterson (Dromard) and James McGivney (Mullianaghta) who from all accounts had stellar performances at the weekend.

Apologies, Veo Link, it's quite easy get games off people when every game is recorded by both oppositions.

Im sure slashers and drumlish players and management send off there match videos to random roscommon supporters all the time.
What is it with this site and posters making up nonsense. Pretending to be from clubs and counties and pretending to watch games now!!!

Easy to get games off people in clubs now as both teams record. But apologies if I mentioned clubber , I'll refrain from posting on the Longford forum again in relation to games.
