Best of luck today from the Rossies. I still remember the roar when Leitrim ran out in Croke Park in the All Ireland semi final 30 years ago this August.

Ha ha, what a completely out-of-touch comment!

Very best of luck to Leitrim today.

I watched you hammer us in Carrick last year and out fight us in the second half in Portlaoise this year so I've no idea how the bookies have Laois as 4 point favourites, it'll be a very close game.

Couldn't believe the crowd you brought to Portlaoise for the league game where you easily outnumbered the home support, and I'm sure today will be no different in Croker.

Enjoy the day!

Best of luck to Leitrim today. Would be great to keep the league title in the North West!

The irony is just dripping off this nugget of wisdom.

Looking at the weather forecast.
Winds are going to be fresh to strong in the afternoon.
Does the wind effect Croke Park much?

If Leitrim win the toss should they play 1st half with the wind or against it.

Personally I think with it.
I'd be afraid Laois would be too far ahead playing with the wind in the first half.

What do you think?

Usually it is better to take the wind in the first half.

I am hoping Leitrim will get at least 1 goal to day

Best of luck to Leitrim today. Was just reading about your Connacht winning team of 30 years ago in todays paper. That was some team. Will miss our annual game in div 4 next year. Hope ye do it & keep our noisey neighbours quiet. We will hopefully do the same in the hurling tomorrow

Year two of Andy Moran and I'm not sure about the S+C because Laois in year one of McNulty have just destroyed us. Dolan and Gilheaney never got a crumb at midfield. Great we got promoted but today it was men against boys

I hope those boys were celebrating during the week cos that was some poor show today

That was an absolutely dire performance in short.

That was brutal. Not looking forward to Sligo next weekend if im honest. It really was men against boys. A lot of work needed to get up to the Fitness levels required to compete at this level. Way off it in so many ways. Disappointing.

An incredibly poor performance today. We were out-muscled, out-fought, out-run by a team we defeated a couple of weeks ago. Today we made Laois look like vintage Dublin. They were hungrier, more committed, slicker, faster both in limb and brain and this was reflected on the scoreboard.
There wasn't any great evidence of corrective signals coming from the sideline either. Withdrawing Riordan O'Rourke (0-02) was the old chestnut again - we're losing badly, take off the corner forward. Ryan displayed the vast repertoire of skills that he possesses and can rightly be proud of his days work.
The championship beckons next weekend and so the merry dance continues. It will be difficult to inspire enthusiasm in the squad after today's humiliation so I'd say, provisionally, it's safe to book your holidays around the weekend of the Connacht final.

The quicker Killian Gaffeney gets game time the better and get Nevin out of there…..such an unnatural keeper, a proper keeper saves those last 2 goals but Mr Moran persists with him

Widely open defensively Leitrim remain under Andy Moran 3-14 conceded today and gave up 34 scoring opportunities to Laois. Give up a similar amount of chances next week to Carrabine ,Murphy etc then expect another big score conceded.

Laois looked more use to playing in Croke Park. They used the wide space well and have good seasoned forwards in Kingston and O Carroll. They have played in the higher Divisions and it showed. Hard luck to Leitrim.

O Donnell could probaly still do a job out the field

Your aim was to get promoted and you achieved that. Today was bonus point territory and it didn't go well. Dublin wiped the ground last week with Tyrone, that's football. I expect a big backlash next week and I hope we are ready for it. The weather has played into your hands by delaying work on the pitch so you will be back in Carrick and you are a different animal on home turf

Not Andy's fault - Leitrim defence is without their weakest unit. Defenders are are a low ebb in a Leitrim. If we had a John McKeon or Michael McGuinness class defender to mark Evan today we could have won - but we don't have a defender of that class.

Our midfield can usually break even and our attack outscore opposition. Unfortunately today Laois were superior all over the field. Our attack was so poor. Did Rooney even get a score? Was our goalkeeper our top scorer?

My only hope is the team seen Sligo next week as an opportunity and they decided to not show their hand today. Back in carrick we are and can be a different team - hoping for that. Promotion is a given - the rest of the season starts now

Let's progress

Hard luck today. Maybe it was a case of the Sligo game taking priority. Obviously no team goes out to lose but next weeks game will be yer 4th weekend on the trot? League success is great but is also quickly forgotten if a team falls short in championship. It is very likely goals set by Moran and the team at the start of the year were promotion, beat Sligo in Connacht and a good run in the Tailteann. Hard to swallow now but that Croker experience may benefit ye later if ye can get on a good TC run.
