Well done to all involved on the promotion today. I can't remember as relatively stress free a day in all my years as a Leitrim fan! Very professional performance today.

Great result today, and we have another day out in croker. These days dont come around often and hopefully we get the turn out of supporters we did against derry 5 years ago and a different result. What a lift it would be for the county to win the div 4 title.

You're a gas man for one man Joe. I'm afraid the admins here won't let me tell you what I really think about you. Safe to say it's not good Joe. There's one thing for sure, I'll not stop telling the truth... I'm definitely not a 'yes' man that's for sure.

Well done lads delighted for ye. U20 result flattered us the other night too, a lot of impressive performers in the Leitrim ranks. There is a lot of positives around Leitrim football at the moment, good to see.

Anyways hopefully with KB, Jordan,Jack and Bruen back next year that's a pretty good squad.Onwards and upwards as the man says.

You'd think Rte could have put a camera in Carrick today.

No guarantee any of them will be involved next year.

Heard Andy's interview on Shannonside. Ideally they wouldn't want to be out against Sligo in Connacht a week later so Andy and Micky probably wouldn't want to put too much focus on Saturday. A lot of teams would hold their cards close to their chests this weekend and not go 100% before championship. Andy and Micky would probably favour this approach and want to focus on Sligo in two weeks time. In the interview he was saying that they will meet and approach next Saturday how the players want. I like this he understands how big it is for this team to go and try and win some silverware, something that rarely happens in our county. Ryan and Darragh made it clear in their interviews that the full focus is on Laois and bringing home the division 4 cup.

I see the county board have fixed spring league for sunday! Madness in my mind, leitrim in croker sat evening and fixtures at 1 on sunday. Surely theres enough free weekends to push them back a week and let lads enjoy the weekend! Not often we get the chance to invade the capital to watch our clubmates, friends family on a big that like that to be out the next day!

The quality of the match reports on the website for Leitrim home matches is awful too. You can depend on there being numerous errors in player names/scorers

I fully believe Leitrim should go after the victory against Laois next Sunday and prioritise that over the Sligo game. Let's face it if we beat Sligo we play Galway and they will beat us by 10+ points. We are going to be in the T cup anyways. If it was me I'd put everything into the Laois game and then get the bodies fresh to improve on last years performance in the T cup. Obviously you are going to try and give Sligo a game but for a team like Leitrim I'd say the Sligo game apart from the FBD game is the one to worry about least. I also wouldn't play Barry McNulty or Jack Foley against Sligo I'd keep them for the u20s and see could we give that a rattle we were far off Galway

Sure we're doing OK without them!! Hopefully the door will always be open for them but unless they tear up the senior championship this year I don't see the need for them to return.

Fully agree. But I suppose everyone will be in the same boat Sunday morning though can't imagine too many club lads will miss out on celebrating this occasion for a Spring league game the following day. Also some games have already been postponed for weather and deaths last weekend as well as a game called off for fighting. So it is already a fixture nightmare.

I agree with the most of this outline. There's a national title at stake - a bonus on top of promotion - and it's rare we're ever in a position to challenge for a trophy of this stature. The players themselves will want to adorn their appearance in HQ with performances to match the occasion. Have a crack at it and see what happens and let the championship look after itself later. The Barry/Jack issue can wait till next week .

An absolute disgrace. Most club players have have lads in Dublin who are asked to come home almost every weekend to play for the club. The one weekend the county is playing in Croke park they fix club games for Sunday at 1pm. It's spring league not proper league. Fix them for mid week in a few weeks time when the evenings get longer. It's not too late to do the right thing and just call them off.
