Replying To The_analyser:  "Delighted with the win and indeed 3 wins in 3 matches but the 1st half wastefulness of not scoring from five big goal chances and giving away two bad goals would have been the main reason had we not won.

Doyle,Hand superb 2nd half and Cox made a big impact off the bench as we outscored Monaghan 0-17 to 0-8 for a deserved win. D Murtagh outstanding with 0-12.

Injuries certainly stretching panel strength now with two difficult away games in weeks ahead"
Agree on all. Good performance and huge result in relation to promotion. We have such depth in the quality of our forwards. Players also taking their chance when given the opportunity, the two Conor's Hand & Cox. A lot to admire and improve on

Monaghan probably the weakest defensively that we've faced. We could have easily had a couple of goals in the first half. Caught Beggan out twice but couldn't capitalise like they did.

Great to see a few lads put their hand up with others missing.

We'll need to tighten up in defence to have prospects this Summer. Still there's so much to be positive about. A strong panel is being assembled and that'll be needed as the injuries today showed. Meath and Cork away will be tough tests. A lot of our players impressed today but I thought Conor Hand was simply sublime. He has pace, skill and intelligence and he was a pleasure to watch today.

Not long home from the long trip to the Hyde and great to get the win. Loads to be positive about yet lots to improve on. Firstly I thought Conor Hand was man of the match. He was simply brilliant. Also thought John McManus and Pearse Frost were excellent in defence. Some of our more seasoned players were a bit off the pace today. I thought Ultan Harney and Cian McKeon were off the pace but I've no doubt that'll improve with time. I thought Ciaran Murtagh had one of his poorer games too and even Diarmuid at times made some poor decisions in the first half but he really stood up in the second half. The penalty was a complete joke. Not sure how the ref thought there was a foul in the build up to it. Keith Doyle was also excellent today. I think we probably shaded the battle at midfield. We had spells of domination and then Monaghan had spells winning ball there too. Thought Conor Carroll was poor enough today too apart from his penalty save. I thought his kickouts were hit and miss. One of his poor kickouts lead to Monaghans second goal. I dont think he offers a whole pile going forward either. Monaghan got a bit of luck with their first goal too but Carroll couldn't really be blamed for that. Overall I think we have to be very happy with that win. Monaghan are a very decent side and will improve as the year goes on. I think we will too though and the drier conditions later in the year should suit us. Meath next weekend will be a tougher game than I think a lot of people think it'll be. Win that and then I think we can look forward to Div 1 football again next year

Any day you kick 25 points on a wet and windy day against Monaghan and win is a good day. Keith Doyle caught some great ball today and palmed/fisted several others to teammates. he is having a good year so far. Conor Hand had a great second half and has certainly put his hand up.
I think that we still have some work on our defence and I would expect both Ruaidhri Fallon and Ronan Daly to be in the mix soon for regular starting spots.
We have to give the management team some credit for giving several new players a chance nearly every match. I would hate the job of picking 6 championship forwards against London and hopefully Galway from the following starting list. No doubt I have left some possible forwards out:
Enda Smith, Donie Smith, Ciaran Murtagh, Diarmuid Murtagh, Conor Cox, Conor Hand, Ultan Harney, Shane Killoran, James Fitzpatrick, Daire Cregg, Ben O' Carroll, Ciaran Lennon, Robbie Dolan, Cian McKeon, C. Heneghan, D. Kenny. Hopefully they will all drive each other on and support each other. With the new rules finishers are going to be critical. For example Conor Cox nailed a couple of great scores today when he came on.

Congratulations to Diarmuid Murtagh for getting match of the match on the day he became the TOP SCORER OF ALL TIME for the Roscommon senior football team. Some dedication since he was an outstanding minor and under 21 player also.
Keep it up Diarmuid.

Diarmuid flying this year right enough.
The Murtaghs along with the Smiths and Dalys have given some service to Ros County football these last 10 to 15 years.
And hopefully some more to come.

Really happy to get the win yesterday. Keith doyle really stepped up. Thought we were better defensively at times yesterday. 2 points in the bag. Conor hand really impressed yesterday. Did realize how fast he was

A good win for yous lads against us yesterday

We were missing 5/6 of our starting forwards however and still racked up a big scoreline defensively is where I would say the rossies need to improve to really compete with the big boys.

Yous have players in that forward line that would start for any county in the land.

Managed to grab a senior match a while back & there was an excellent corner back brian Kelly was his name played underage with Roscommon surely he would be worth his salt in there a tigerish corner back who can also kick a score.

Looks like we'll be seeing yous back in croker next month touchwood.

Who was Monaghan missing in their forward line other than O'Hanlon,Hamill? Micheál Bannigan, Ciarán McNulty; David Garland will still likely be first choice come championship time. Stephen Mooney there or thereabout also. Ryan McAnespie will likely play as attacking wing half back.

No real defending going on in Div 2 it's some contrast to a lot of the Div 1 games I've watched it and will be something all Div 2 teams will need to address before the championship.

If there's even a 5% doubt on the three wouldn't it be worth a chance leaving the three out of the panel and see how we get on without them. Smith and attack have been flogged for I don't know
How long

Interesting team selection and subs bench. It is one thing not having Brian Stack, Enda Smith, Colm Neary, Niall Daly and Daire Cregg on the team, it is another scenario entirely when they are not on the subs bench. No doubt Meath will be missing a few players as well. This league is really giving Davy and the management team a great chance to test the strength in-depth of the 26 man match panel and the extended panel, and so far they have performed very well. The new rules typically mean that six substitutes are used per match so the strength of the bench/finishers is more important than ever.
I think that playing a rejuvenated and re-energized Meath team under a new management team in Navan this Sunday will be our most difficult test so far. Meath had some of the top performers in Sigerson recently, such as Ciaran Caulfield (DCU winning captain) and Jordan Morris, so I think that it should be a real challenge, which is what you want. Pity the weather forecast is not great again. Safe travelling to all supporters.
Would not be one bit surprised if it ended in a draw.

You can if one was a blood sub.

A very well done to Roscommon CBS for reaching the All Ireland B senior final. Six points the better than the Leinster and Meath champions Dunboyne. It's the first All Ireland CBS have reached at that level since 2019 which they won beating Kerry opposition and their team included current county senior Keith Doyle,Tim Lambe and James Fitzpatrick.

Only the Ref can decide on a blood sub.
