You do know there's a real world out there? I don't spend all my time on forums getting offended by the opinions of others. For the record, I've never once criticised any player. Feel free to trawl through the pages to find examples where I have and all you will ever find is that I don't believe the management team are good enough to bring this team to the next level. Some people agree with me, others don't. That's fine, I won't be asking them to provide their real names if they do! FallenStar (Galway) - Posts: 435 - 14/08/2025 09:29:07 2631786 Link 2 |
Hard to see any shocks in the Senior championship this weekend. So I'll try to predict the intermediate. Green&Gold2013 (Galway) - Posts: 44 - 14/08/2025 11:01:49 2631804 Link 0 |

Galway u16s are playing in the Ted Webb final tomorrow, I see Cosmos Gilmore is the manager? Didnt realise he was double jobing with the Bearna gig?, he must also be in the running for the Minor management job especially if they win tomorrow as this season u16s are only 1 squad, no usual north and west split so he will be better placed than anyone. Appears to be a new development in past year as typically the North lads would not know the west lads when first at minor level so its great that the unity is being built at u16. They are grooming these lads for minor next year with 5 or 6 of the u16s already in with the minor this year and all training together Dangan. Positive to see a new approach. Yes this correct, A team is in Clare, B team is in Longford. What I'm am saying is they are all the one squad and train together. Both teams are mixed with North and West based players.

U16 team won the Ted Webb Cup, hammered North Kerry in the final. galway19 (Galway) - Posts: 968 - 16/08/2025 14:26:27 2632113 Link 2 |
Signs of life at underage. U-16's win the Ted Webb. Hammered an unbeaten Meath in the semi-final and hammered Kerry in the final. This will be next year's minors so looks like they will be very strong. Marooned (Galway) - Posts: 2417 - 16/08/2025 14:32:19 2632115 Link 1 |

Those Breathnachs lads were a part of their Feile team that got to the All Ireland Division 1 final and ended up sharing the cup after drawing with New York in the final. Some super players on that team.

It's hardly that big an achievement lads when we were a whole county against a segment of Kerry in the final. TanCanRan (Galway) - Posts: 283 - 16/08/2025 17:19:58 2632138 Link 0 |
Kerry north won the Ted Webb last year. They've been a good bit better than Kerry south in recent years. Throw in all the south lads as well. They are not making up 18 points on Galway. It was a right hammering. The broad point is that it's usually a good sign for the quality of a minor team the following year. Kerry narrowly lost the minor final this year. On the back of winning the Ted Webb last year. Up to the Galway lads now to kick on next year. Marooned (Galway) - Posts: 2417 - 16/08/2025 18:15:58 2632144 Link 1 |
Great showing from Milltown in Tuam this evening to draw with Corofin after being down 6 at HT. Liam Costello put in a huge shift and the older Scans were able to hold their own in the rough and tumble. Mountbellew always on top in the first game against what seems a very young St Michael's. As predicted by many the new rules are causing chaos at club level. Several "3 back" breach's went unpunished. Incorrect calls regarding players playing on without taking a solo also. No card of any colour was issued in either game. County players have not been standing out so far in the games I have watched. Monivea/Abbey into relegation battle . giveitlong (Galway) - Posts: 1296 - 16/08/2025 20:10:59 2632154 Link 0 |
Mountbellew a bit slow to start today but they were always comfortable. Ciaran Mulhern won't be far away from Galway squad next year. He looks the part at senior level. Barry McHugh is still easily the best free taker in Galway.

Was life at underage with the U17s winning the All-Ireland in 2022 and in 2018,2019 All-Ireland finalists. After three years where Roscommon and Mayo was better the Galway Minors will be the team to beat in Connacht next year. Drax_the_destroyer (UK) - Posts: 560 - 17/08/2025 00:39:23 2632189 Link 0 |
!00% about Mulhern. Has skill and explosiveness. Should be closely looked at by Galway over the winter.

Wat a strange post First you congratulate the team and then you are almost suprised because mb have 6 players on the team. 6 players who were part of the team who got to div 1 feile final last year and some of those players were part of the minor panel this year. Why does it always have to be the same team that have the county players each year? That's wat is holding the senior team back from wining all irelands. Always lookin at the same players from the same clubs. Never lookin outside the box. Big clubs don't always guarantee good players. It's just that they get seen much quicker because they are from a certain aera or parish Joed1987 (Galway) - Posts: 16 - 17/08/2025 02:15:02 2632200 Link 0 |
He was a selector in 19 when we were very strong and let an All Ireland slip but more importantly we brought through Johnny McGrath, Cian Hernon, Tomo Culhane and Daniel O'Flaherty to play senior
