Galway minors well beaten by Mayo in the Connacht semi-final this evening. Yet another very poor year at underage for Galway football. In a complete tailspin at underage level in Connacht now. Is anyone paying attention to this?

Nine point beating for Galway's U17s. Game was level on 52 minutes and Mayo really kicked on in the final 8 minutes of normal time and 3 minutes of added time with two goals and a few two pointers. It's the B All Ireland for Galway's U17s for a 2nd year in a row.

I'm paying attention. Not looking good. We've been in 4 Minor All Irelands since 2016 but now struggle in Connacht. What changed? Sigh.

Replying To Gaa_lover:  "I'd expect like last year Dublin will make Quarter final exit. Derry will struggle to reach the last 8 could well finish bottom in their group.

Bookies reckon Galway are going to win by 4 or 5 points at least on Sunday, I think it will be a lot closer than that and while Galway should edge it don't be surprised if it takes extra time or penalties"
Once again, you really don't understand betting or what a handicap is

A spread of -3 does not in any which way mean that the bookies think Galway are going to win by 4 or 5 at least

Spreads -2 at Boylesports btw who are the main GAA bookie currently

No minor Connacht since 2018 and no U20 since 2020.
Very important who we have over those 2 teams in 2026. I'd be getting Kevin Johnson involved with one or the other

Replying To Drax_the_destroyer:  "No Comer on the 26 this weekend I hope not another injury set back that rules him out for the group stage. Shane Walsh remains out also no need in rushing him back until 100% lessons learnt from last year. Good to see Peter Cooke back among the subs.

Same team that started against Roscommon and would expect Mayo to defend a lot better and more competitive around the middle eight. Galway will gladly take a repeat of last years win if it comes down to it."
Ah yeah last years win with ref giving a fluke free ...who even Gough admitted it should have been a free out to mayo ..

Everyone hyping up Galway sure not risking your 2 main stars cause you dont need them v us apparetly going on about sam and you won't bottle it this year sure ..

you have it sure what's the point in us turning up I wonder ..

Surely end of the line for both management teams?

Oflaherty can add a real punch when he comes on and offer scoring threat O'Neill and Hernon too"
Armagh brought on Soupy Campbell and Conor Turbitt last weekend. Kerry regularly bring on Tony Brosnan and Killian Spillane

Over reaction? Underage often goes in spells and swings and roundabouts. Since 2018, Mayo, Galway, Roscommon and Sligo have all won 2 u20 titles each. Mayo minors going for 4 in a row minor granted but your seniors are doing the same. The same debate was had in Mayo not long ago. No county can be dominant at underage all the time.

And just to add the game last night was level with 10mins to go, Mayo pulled away with goals ironically when down to 14 due to a black card.
