I think Cathal Sweeney is well able to play in the forwards at county level. I'd agree with you that the rest are much better further back the pitch. Maybe O Flaherty also but I wouldn't be trying to find that out in an All Ireland final……

Armagh in the 70s only reached one final and lost it. In the 00s they reach two winning one. Those teams weren't average for reaching no more and the same goes for the 2024 Armagh team regardless what they do in the years ahead.

The Armagh team in '77 were certainly average or below and got battered in the Final…( Cavan easily took care of them in the 1st round the following year ) the team in the 00's were good but surely disappointed not to have won more…. The current team will have to challenge again over the coming seasons to be rated highly… My original point was about Galway and how this team chucked away a great opportunity to win an All Ireland when faced with opposition you wouldn't put in the Dublin/Kerry category of the past…!

Your original point was that Armagh was average team.

Can have a debate on who was the worst All-Ireland winners the last 30 years (Dublin 1995 Kerry 1997 for me) but In all my years watching the sport I have seen average team win the All-Ireland.

Kicking scores is the most important part of the game I'm afraid.
Armagh deserved their All Ireland in 2024. 2025 is another year. Move on my dear man.

Read my post again and you will see it's about Galway and not Armagh…. Previous to last years winners I'd say the Kerry team of '97 we're pretty average…!
