It has ben a huge problem going back to 2019, Galway certainly appear to have far more muscle injuries then the likes of Mayo. Thats 3 defenders missing who'd definitely be starting this weekend if not 4. TheBishop (Galway) - Posts: 262 - 27/01/2022 13:34:44 2396711 Link 0 |

If these defensive injuries are true they will probably have to put Sean Kelly back into the full-back line which to be honest is a bit of a waste of how good he can be when he's further up the pitch and can charge forward. He's so good though he can pretty much do a job anywhere on the field. Marooned (Galway) - Posts: 2224 - 27/01/2022 14:43:07 2396729 Link 0 |
That's down to having an inadequate S&C system in place. That's a crazy amount of injuries to have picked up already at this time of year.

What are the injuries? Has Jack Glynn not got an injury to his jaw? You'd hardly put that down to an inadequate s&c program

Of course those type of facial injuries are not down to S&C but usually muscular / joint injuries are and I would assume most of them are those type.

Ridiculous comment.. Mulkerrins and Glynns injuries had nothing to do with S and C . Just bad luck.

Report says that he cited questions that were raised that he & his m'ment team were unable to resolve & in the interests of Galway ladies football the m'ment team stepped aside. What were the questions does anyone know ? moc.dna (Galway) - Posts: 1212 - 28/01/2022 10:22:59 2396828 Link 0 |
Yeah, the new S&C lead / Head of Performance, Jonathan Harris-Wright, comes with a strong CV. I think he'll have these lads firing on all cylinders. Mayo, for example, effectively beat us with sheer fitness and athleticism last year. They ran us into the ground from 40 mins into the game. That cannot happen again. We need the lung bursting energy of Mayo, Dublin, Tyrone if we've any serious ambitions.
