Naomh Pádraig, Uisce Chaoin (Donegal) sealed their place in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland club junior football championship thanks to an emphatic 4-10 to 1-8 victory over Tara (London).
This afternoon’s Ulster Club JFC Twinning final at McGovern Park got the green light to go ahead after an early afternoon pitch inspection at the Ruislip venue and it was the visitors that would hit the ground running.
The Ulster champions ran up a 0-7 to 0-1 lead inside the opening 20 minutes and, while the home side got points back from Shay Rafter, a Drew McKinney goal saw Naomh Pádraig towards a 1-7 to 0-7 interval lead.
Goals from Caolan McColgan and McKinney surged Muff further in front im the third quarter and another major by Ronan Hoy saw them comfortably through to next Sunday’s semi-final against Kilmurray of Cork at Parnell Park (throw-in TBC).
